Fibre optics just become available here. Plusnet looks a cheap option. Any feedback from members using them gratefully received.

I have had Plusnet for two years now, absolutely no problems.
They have a very helpful forum that have answers from fellow members to any questions you may have.
I used them for one year and when it came time to renew, they were very accommodating when I wanted to negotiate my prices.
I got them down to £5 for unlimited infinity/fibre per month for 18 months plus my phone rental on top, (still have another 6 months left).
Don`t forget to use a cashback site such as Topcashback who are offering £90.10 at the moment and pay very fast.

3 years here on fiber. Go for it! Had an issue (littley pulled plug on router and we couldnt get internet) today, spoke to a human and sorted. No major problems on the whole.

Just as a heads up Plusnet belong to BT, surprisingly any reports i have come across have praised them for their service and customer care. (which BT seem to lack) and to top it all they are a hell of a lot cheaper. My BT contracts up in early 2017, and I'll be off.

I had nothing but hassle from BT and EE became too expensive

All problems I have had with my line via Plusnet has been down to incompetent BT Open Reach engineers cutting me off, Plusnet tried their hardest to get me back on line quickly but BTOR didn't help at all, wish I lived in an area that had cable, to get away from BT altogether

All i can say is anyone i have known that has switched to Plusnet have been very happy since, i just find it strange how BT can get it so wrong, yet a subsidiary can be so far ahead in the way they deliver the service and customer care. We had a nightmare when we moved into this flat BT wouldnt recognise the address as it was a new build, but we had no way of getting any other supplier as the flats were not connected to the exchange so we had to bite the bullet, wait nearly two months for them to do the wiring etc.
try contacting BT for any customer advice and it turns into a battle trying to get them understand what the fault or the issue is, terrible company!
