The main problem with 17track is it relies on the shipping companies scanning at every stage, but this rarely happens and I've received quite a few parcels at my door that 17track shows as still in China. As Q says it's best to just pay and forget, it will arrive eventually. My last delivery with China Post took 9 days from first appearing on 17track.

thebishman latest update from my orders, one of mine was dispatched 8th October and it arrived in Heathrow Friday evening, I expect to see it towards the end of this week.
