I've always sold my used hifi, especially top end Naim, Linn etc. on EBay auction. Do a search on there for the models you have for sale and get a rough idea of the going rate and use this to estimate a reserve. Alternately you could contact Tom Tom Audio in St Albans to see what price they will offer.

I would use eBay, I have being buying through there the last 10 years. The problem is it's such a specials market you need country wide coverage to get the buyers. Whit the cartridges it may also be worth finding who does stylus replacement (they have to be ground off and a new one re-glued, very skilled and specialist) to find out how much, as a a buyer is likely to factor that into the price and to see if they are interested in buying them. You could also look at specialist forums like pinkfishmedia.net, selling maybe hard as a new member but with cash on collection not impossible and you should be able to get advice. ETA on ebay you can get searches to list just items that have sold to get an idea of price EG www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=linn%20troika&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&rt=nc&_trksid=p2045573.m1684

There are probably some 2nd hand dealers about that are based at home, the guy I go to do the stylus on my Koetsu over 20 years ago is still about, though doesn't deal with the public I have to go through the guy that designed my amps and I first dealt with him in the 80s.

I know a bit about hifi and think it would be sensible for you to research what you have there to get the best price I would personally suggest the forum hifiwigwam.com/forum/who have a great community and are the chosen classifieds for the UK hifi enthusiasts You can even post up information and request assistance in valuing your equipment If you'd like any further assistance give me a shout and I'll see if I can help I'm a member of quite a few hifi forums including Linn and Naims so could ask the questions for you

I would take my time selling it and try and fine recent prices for as much as you can. It occurs to me with the pound so low it may be worth you while cataloguing it all with good pics and contacting some US and Canadian dealers, even European dealers actually.
