Tax Returns

Just completed my business tax returns online. Torture.
The Revenue have been looking at simplifying the tax law. Clearly they have decided feck it, let's make this bit more complex. If you do it in fits and starts, i.e. go back to it a few times, you need a text or email each time to log on.
It's now easier to fill in the paper form, and quicker.
Mindless, with the purge of staff the Inland Revenue has gone through in the last 5 years.
There is even a video on how to do it. Presumably for those who can't read.
No wonder Green et al got away with it for so long. This shower of sh** couldn't run a bath.

I hope I don't get banished to the politics forum for saying this, but.....

I have absolutely zero respect for HMRC. They will chase, hound and punish the individual and small business owner. They will be jumped on from a great height as easy targets.

Whereas their "Masters" (i.e. Amazon, News International, Starburkes etc) and their clever tax havens and fancy accountants enabling them to pay zero or as close to for corporation tax whilst paying their staff minimum wage....absolutely makes my blood boil....

I think we can all agree with that ghostrider1971, I too seethe when I hear about big mega corporations that make billions from us in Britain and yet put next to nothing back.

Well at least we in Oz don't appear to be the only ones with onerous and cumbersome tax laws then.
