Someone ('Cotty') over on UKV recently received some 'TPD-compliant packaged' atomiser heads/coils, see picture above! "This product CONTAINS nicotine which is a highly addictive substance". It highlights the farcical nature of the TPD and the fact the bureaucrats that made it were/are clueless!

Since when did an empty tank or coil magically contain nicotine if it's sold EMPTY!!! (That is aside from the fact that it is questionable whether nicotine in a pure form, without all the other tobacco additives found in cigarettes, is "highly addictive"). The smaller explanation above the main warning box/lie appears to have been allowed/suggested by the MHRA as an afterthought, following manufacturer complaints! 

From the MHRA Guidance notes: "If your product does not contain nicotine when sold, but can be used to contain nicotine, the warning statement ‘this product contains nicotine which is a highly addictive substance’ must still be applied. To provide clarity for consumers, we recommend adjacent wording (not part of the boxed warning) to the effect that the warning applies when the product is used as designed and charged / filled with nicotine-containing liquid."

This would suggest that ALL bottles, be they Plastic or Glass, should also have that warning applied as they too could be used to "contain Nicotine"!!!!!

It is crazy but it's not just on vaping products:- I've just noticed that there's warnings about alcohol consumption on all My empty beer bottles!

I can vaguely understand having a warning that e-liquid contains nicotine, BUT empty..... EMPTY! atomiser heads/coils and atomiser tanks is just ridiculous, even with the silly clarifying small text, that the LARGE warning only applies if you put nicotine into it!

I wish They would turn on to something er....'exotic' in Their pipes (or pref. 'dry content atomisers'... ) We'd be more likely to see all Their crap repealed!!
