Heads Up. Order Confirmations And Shipping Notific

Hi Folks

Depending on your email provider, it seems that we may start to not receive our order confirmations and shipping notices.

I ordered something from Vape Escape (Jason) on Saturday evening, I got the paypal notification of payment immediately and normally I receive a receipt of order confirmation from the vendor almost immediately from where ever I order from but this time I didn't.

The tank I'd ordered actually arrived today but I didn't get it straight away as the postie just gave the package to the builders fixing the porch roof, who just bunged it down and proceeded to cover it with rubbish

In the meantime I'd rung Jason to let him know that the order confirmations hadn't come through so he resent them there and then and they still didn't show, it seems that Hotmail (and possibley others) are now treating these confirmation emails as SPAM and just deleting them, they don't even make it to your junk folder.


So if you don't get your confirmation emails this may be why and your order has probably been processed and shipped as normal.


Next time I order something I'm going to use a different email provider just in case.

I ordered from Jason yesterday and got my usual confirmation, and order shipped, emails, from him. I use a different provider though, and not a Hotmail address, so you could be on to something there luner

I've noticed this too, I've made a couple of orders in the past few days and, like you say, received the initial order confirmation email but then no dispatch email. I'm also using hotmail and nothing has gone to the junk folder

Jason also said he was worried that the email replies he gives to online enquiries may not be going through too.

Just hope that folk don't start giving vendors some stick thinking that their orders aren't coming.

Oh, that's not good is it . I hadn't thought about that side of it, but it would be a shame if they weren't, cos he's such a good bloke, and is always so helpful. Hope people won't think he's not bothering to reply to them

I use gmail for a lot of my online shopping these days , it's easy to set up and can link with your account for google checkout and also verisigns verified by visa , very handy IMO

I've got a gmail account as well as my hotmail, I'll have to start using the gmail instead

I fell out with hotmail long ago

Much better mail providers out there

So did I Storm. I use gmail as well and so far not had a problem.

I could use my main provider via webmail but prefer to use outlook for them because all the families emails come through that , gmail I can pick up anywhere , on my pc , lappy , tablet and iphone so very versatile

I've never used Hotmail, but wonder if they can be informed that Vape escape's emails aren't spam?

It's looks like its not just vape escape I ordered from another couple of places and didn't get any dispatch emails from any

it will be more paypal rather than emails hosts, they will not spam paypal emails. I had it a few times and i use my own server.

Correct, looks like its affecting other vendors aswell.

Its possibly hotmails spam filters detecting that they are auto generated messages and treating them as spam and deleting them.
