I was a quite early adopter of mobile phones. It had an inbuilt battery, so it was better than my Dad's as he needed a skateboard to drag it around. Patchy reception. £1.50 a minute. No texts. Easier to sign up for a £20,000 BMW than get a contract. Vodafone asked for £100 to change the address of the contract at one point. I told them to **** right off. I never went back. Curiously, my latest phone (which is a low/mid-range android, obviously) has more everything than my first laptop. That micro SD cards hold more data as well. Astonishing. I wonder if Vodafone would like to know their greed cost them £15,000 over the last 27 years. Probably not. Not gonna make much dent in the billion or so they take from their customers. read this number. £1,377,000,000 Yup. Actually, less than £20 profit per customer per year... (I don't buy their shares for the same reason I threw the phone in the bin)
