Variable power devices and kits
Bought my 1st expensive Ecig Variable power one for about £60 and after 4 months the usb charge port breaks, take it back to the shop to find only 1 month guarantee or warranty so my money is wasted and the company in china refuse a refund so buy another one and now this one has broken down not even used the usb charge point and so took that back to the shop only 4 months old and they tell me they wont help at all. then they tell me I have to email some company in china to sort my warranty not even offering me there email addy.
this then leaves me with nothing to vape on to I have no choice but to spend another £40 cuz the pissing tank they sold me has broken down as well and guess what? no bloody guarantee or warranty on that either.
I'm so f*ck off with these companies taking the piss and not doing anything about it cuz it pays them not to (they know you need another one to use) I,m going to fight it this time and start doing something about it and put in complaints
nearly everything we buy new in the uk comes with a year guarantee or warranty and you take it back to the shop and they replace it or sort it out all except for vaper things.
I really am sick of vaping companies taking the piss out of me and giving me bad advice!!!
Thank f*ck for forums where you can get some advice that's all I can say.

They often hide behind classing mods as consumable if they have an integral battery, but yeah in general the warranties on cheap stuff are meaningless. It is better than it was a few far east manufactures have opened UK/European repair centres, though IIRC only 6 month warranty. I realise £60 can not be classed as cheap, definitely not consumable and should last far more than a year. A good retailer is your main protection, then a good manufacture who both give a year warranty and follow through as even the best kit can go wrong.

I've just sent back a self firing Wismec predator to fasttech, who have dealt with the problem in due and timely fashion. Wismec however, have been less than interested. Not even a reply from them. The self firing thingy put me right off the Predator so a Smoant Charon is being sent as a replacement.

I know what you mean sealover1 but I look at it like this. 4 months cigarettes at a tenner a pack a day = £1,200 approx., a hacking cough, smelly breath, stinking clothes and a high risk of death due to Cancer, Heart failure and a host of other complaints. Compared to £60.00 plus batteries and e-liquid costs, which could be as as little as a pound a day for LiQuid 10ml bottles, cheaper if you DIY, isn't really a lot. You could of course change to mech mods without a regulating chip as there is a lot less to go wrong.

Sorry to hear about this.
I think this is why I quit buying anything a) too expensive or b) from a UK vendor (other than less costly items, liquids and general supplies).
I remember being dug out of a hole by quick service from companies like Vape Escape and Ukecigcabin back when my collection was just a few batteries.
These days, gradual stocking up on mods and tanks means I feel well-protected. Worst case, I have a few mechanical mods as well.
It's a tricky balancing act... if one of my Chinese buys (mods) falls over tomorrow and goes in the bin, that's that. I learned the hard way buying a £100 mod in the UK and getting nowhere when it broke.
I hope something works out for you.

Bad luck sealover1 , such a pain when vendors are this bad. You could try reporting them to trading standards, but I don't know if it would do any good. I tend to buy from China, mostly Fastech. have had faulty products but always managed to get them replaced, though it takes ages. Worth buying a less expensive mod there just as backup, if you can afford. Hope you get something sorted.

I would buy from any place that would look after me when it come to break downs, I still have not found the email addy to email them yet as been ill (I have fibromyalgia )

I,m not doing it again till the companies get there act together, the cheap little stealth 70w and another evo tank works better then the £60 SX mini does I think and I did find it a real pain having to unscrew the bottom to put the batts in, this one has a magnetic batt cover which I find lots better just a shame it does not have the usb charging on it
