My car charger has died, so I am looking for said moblie Power Bank, for when one is on the move, so to speak. Any advice from you Techies. Fastech etc ?. Thanks in advance.

The problem with Fasttech is that very often manufacturers lie about the capacity and the quality of the batteries. The best thing would be an 18650 powerbank enclosure and use some good quality 18650s, but they (FT) seemed to be discontinuing these. I have at least 6 powerbanks and 4 of them are junk. Fake specifications, takes ages to charge, gets hot, generally larking about.
Some of the very best also come with a crazy price tag. Have a look at ANKER or AUKEY or ZENDURE.

Thanks djs. I have a itaste pro mvp 3. It has a usb marked output on the bottom of the MOD. Can that be use to charge an iphone ?. If I just unconnected the the usb from the wall socket which I use, and then connected the usb to the MVP, would that work.
Now stop laughing. Whatta ye think. ?

No laughing, that is what Innokin designed. You won't get that far though (I'm guessing) if your phone is half the battery of your MVP. Enough to refresh your iPhone though I am sure.

Just googled it, djs and yes your right. It sounds like the MVP 3 will refresh the iphone battery enough for me to get back home or to a power point. Thanks for your help. Much appreciated. I shall look for a better option, now the panic is over.

Why not just buy another car charger ? do you have a need to charge when not in the car ?
Edited to add - I only ask as the biggest failing with a power bank is the need to keep it charged ready for use, while the car charger is always ready ... as long as your in the car anyway

Hi Charlie, did have a look, for a new car charger, live in Cumbria, not a lot of shops around and none had any, because it is an old iphone 3, (but works fine for my needs, reluctant to buy a new phone) could only see chargers on ebay, feedback on them was they were crap. Not sure if I can plug the usb from my main charger, into a car charger with a usb connection, so to speak ?.

lynxkatYour iPhone uses the old style Apple charger, the wide one before the 'lightening' one? There must be lots of those around, rather than take a chance on a new clone one (dodgy) one off fleabay, maybe get a 2nd hand one? Cheap iPhone chargers are notorious. Old genuine iPhone ones must be everywhere.

Your right again djs, just spotted one on ebay I think, www.ebay.co.uk/itm/iPhone-3s-4s-Car-Charger-/232426305061?hash=item361daff625:g:A60AAOSwg6pZbH6PThank you for guiding me through this mini crisis. Much appreciated. I might not be very Techy minded, but I know where to come for help. This place. I still reckon I have posted this in the wrong place, Chrissie and her gang will kill me.

Glad you're sorted, had my own technical mini crisis last night - my Lounge telly when phut, so that's on my to do list after work today. I don't really know where to start with the selection and specifications there's available - most of which I don't understand. So budget will be my deciding factor! Power Banks similarly aren't my field of expertise . . . . . but I did get one from FT on VapingBad's recommendation which has been excellent, Soshine or something like that I think.

... .... my Lounge telly when phut Nooooooo! *minute's silence* Aussie thoughts on replacement TV: Bigger is better. No, much bigger than that! Iffn ya can get it in thro a regular doorway and/or it takes less than 4 big boofy blokes to stand it up, it really isn't big enough! Good luck sorting it.
