I quite like the lost vape Therion, the only problem, or is it? is i use an iMac and i believe the programme needs windows to run if you are going to alter the settings/ Do you need to alter the setting though apart from setting watts temp etc that's i've ever done, never set temp curves or owt like that, so would it work for me or best leaving that Mod alone www.vampirevape.co.uk/lost-vape-therion-dna-166.html

You can set your TC and Watts settings on the device itself

You can set your TC and Watts settings on the device itself Yeah that was my point, obviously not well put, do you need to use the escribe software at all, or just vape out of the box.

Seems according to the last post VB that they have it working for the 166 on iOS so there should be no problems using the software, probably lol I'll see whats about at Vfest, got a battlestar 200 on it's way, god i'm using 10 quid mods at the mo thanks to perps health cabin promotion, i apparently ordered 2 mods twice, and cos they were so cheap i never noticed, with a couple of pack of coils it only came to 40 quid lol i'll see if there are any deals at V fest, I usually get an expensive mod there (get ripped off) ranks for the info VB

I've got DNA60, DNA75, DNA75C and DNA250 mods never used the software on any of them they always have the common TC profiles Ni,Ti,SS already loaded onto the board by the manufacturer out of the box.

The only problem with these are the batteries are a pain to get in and out. Personally I charge all my DNA devices through USB. So if you are happy with that then it's a good device.

From what I have read the new DNA75C Therion gives a lot more stand alone control than the curent/old monochrome screen 75 version. There is also the about to be released LV 74C Paranormal which is very similar but has a different battery insertion arrangement which looks like a big improvement. NB on FastTech the 75C Paranormal looks to be a few $ cheaper then the 75C Therion.
edit if 75 is enough power of course. Just noticed OP is talking about the 166. Perhaps a 166C is imminent?

That was one of the main goals for the 75C to make most adjustments available on the mod without hooking up to EScribe, no doubt a 167/250C exists since 8/8/2016 and will be releases to the public, nothing official yet, but they normally do a private beta before market release (disclosure: I was a beta tester for the 75C). They have a difficult job because they let users access almost all the setting that are safe and sensible to make available, then some people take that as you need to understand them (you don't) so the released theme is deliberately simplified, they still auto sense if you have a temp sensitive coil and you can just vape them out of the box just adjusting watts to taste like any other mod.

I love my DNA'S and don't want anything else tbh. Charging them through USB is fine and with the 2amp charging doesn't take long. TC with ss coils is now the only way I vape due to the latest software being so good 😆👍

The 167 is a 250 running from 2 batteries instead of 3, I doubt Evolv will push the wattages per battery any higher unless battery tech improves a step. IMO 167 are the best all-round choice as aside form the power and more features the 167/250 is 98% efficient and the 75 only 85% efficient so you will get a fair bit more vape time from each battery. The battery sag vaping high power on a single battery means you can't use the lower end of the battery capacity, when the capacity gets low the battery sag takes it to the low voltage limit and mod throttles back. I will bring my VT167 to VF you can borrow it for a few hours to see how you get on with a DNA167.

what tanks you gona be using as tc only works well with certain tanks a dna 75 wont give you any more power or longer vape time than evic mini it do give a smoother vape than an evic and the tc is completely diff(it works lol) tbh the only time you have to connect it is to load on wire profiles and maybe set up a few profiles for diff wires and atty types i only have a 900mha batt in my 250 but at 40 to 50 watts it lasts all day and charges up ruddy quick with the right wall plug
