Well, an update. BP is still too high, but my new prescription is starting to work so that's good. Also, the Echocardiogram was successful, and showed up nothing to concern myself with. Due to see the GP again when I get back from a bit of Balearic warmth!

Hi xtc263 How are you measuring your resting heart rate? I became concerned that my own resting heart rate had decreased to what I thought was dangerous levels.....45bpm whilst sleeping but it ended up as false readings from my "Fitbit". Got it replaced.....the Fitbit, not my heart, and my heart rate then showed as 65bpm, Phew. Great that you are getting expert help and advice from the Doctor. I am sure everything will be fine, try not to worry. Neil

Hi sorry just seeing this now. I was using a proper heart rate measuring device. I also had it measured by the doctor as well. It's currently at 115bpm when I'm not on beta blockers. But getn more tests done soon to try and find out the cause.

xtc263You don't appear to have mentioned the result of your 0 nicotine trial. Would be interested to know what it was.
