Evening guys, I just had a bit of a vaping fright - was not pleasant My new Pico squeeze arrived from China today - after the last two mysteriously died on me.... Coiled up (SS316L) on the Maze v3 and off I went... All was going well until I tried to move the lid of the tank around to make the air flow bigger. On small airflow all was good and working well. When I moved it, the coil seemed to be "on fire" and would not turn off. The battery started to get very hot. I managed to unscrew the RDA. After calming down a little, I then tried the Pico Squeeze with another RDA.....and it doesn't work I'd really rather one of these things didn't blow up in my hand - am I doing something fundamentally, stupidly wrong? Is there a possible fault with the Maze? (The same RDA I was using when my original 2 PS's gave up the ghost...)

A couple of probably silly questions..
What ohms are ypu building at?
Is your 510 pin and rda to mod tight?
Ive had as many as 7 squeezes in my rotation at one point and the only one to die on me is where i had juice leak into firing button feom laying it on its side with too much juice in rda.

thebishman - no questions are silly - this was really freaky - build is around 0.4 Absolutely certain the RDA to mod is tight.

Glad that you're ok. IMHO, regardless whether your suspicions that the Maze might be faulty.... the Pico should (in theory) have been able to protect itself from short circuit arising from a fault. ... It clearly hasn't! Out of interest, TC mode or Power mode? and what setting? (degrees/Watts)

Never used the Maze but with the pulse, hadaly and wasp I've had no problems. I go around 0.4/0.5. From what your saying it sounds like a short from your coil to the tank.

Crikey, you defo having shit luck with them squeezees. The board/chip should cover all unfortunate eventualities, mega low ohms, shorts, battery reversal. Though a hot battery would need the pos end shorting with the case which would be under a manufacturing fail.

m afraid i dont have any of the kit your using but it dont sound like your having much luck i cant see how adjusting the airflow could cause a short unless your trying to fit huge coils in or not cutting off the tail ends and letting them stick out the maze its self looks a bit complicated for the positive pin and it may be this that needs looking at strip it down and make sure its in correctly ,you may see some burn marks and if you do that is were the prob was
the squeeze should of been able to take a dead short and recover or at least thats what i thought it could do according to the specks dont throw the broken ones away as peps are modding them to work as mosfet mechs ;p
but it dont sound like your doing anything that you really should not

Rough luck mate. Is it totally dead (no flashing lights)? It might be worth taking the battery out and looking to see if there is any damage to the wrap. Or putting a new one in to see if that resets things (sometimes it works when my mods get confused, as does removing and refitting the atty). I'm inclined to suspect the atty, since it has taken out three, though the squeeze should do short protection. Did you check the resistance with and without the top cap?

yourgurnard - Sadly so I think I have just been unlucky..... I think that decoy may have hit the nail - I had another look at the Maze v.3 RDA last night. Some black marks around one of the airholes and even with my limited sense of smell there seemed to be a bit of charring... Maybe it was the pin. I'm not sure to be honest. I'm hoping I can take it and the errant mods to the next London meet up and hope some of the guys won't mind having a look at them. I'm determined not to give up on squonking - think I will end up waiting to see what happens with the regulated market this month

Hope you find out what's happened with this ghostrider1971 - I only have the one pico squeeze and so far (fingers crossed touch wood and all that) its been both flawless and excellent.
