So I've been away from vaping for sometime ....I knew the tpd regulations were coming into force but never really paid any attention .
when I decided to return I realised very quickly that the availability of high strength nicotine was almost 0 and that 10mls was the maximum volume permitted / bottle ....... However it never dawned on me until about 3 days ago after searching for a larger tank that the maximum tank capacity for sale in the uk is 2mls ......don't I feel like an idiot

Och wuman, nae need tae feel daft. But seriously, the TPD changed things quite a bit. And yes in the UK 2ml capacity for tanks is what is needed to keep our vendors compliant, although there are what is called "wide boy glass" or tank extension kits available to purchase as an extra as a workaround on this matter. Like wise, on the juice front, you may have noticed companies selling 0mg nic in 60ml, 100ml, 120ml etc, but they will sell small bottles of 18mg nicotine along side this so you may mix it yourself to your desired strength. There is always China for larger capacity tanks as they don't really give a shit about the TPD or as ever, the classifieds section here is a good place to look before shopping elsewhere.

18mg/ml eliquid should still be available, 24 and 36mg/ml not (TPD max strength is <20mg/ml) but with a lot of vapers using more efficient and thirsty kit, many shops don't appear to be making/selling much in the way of these stronger liquids. As a workaround to the piddly 10ml bottle volume issue a lot of companies are making 0mg shortfill bottles of flavour, VG & PG with room to add your own nicotine. However adding one 10ml bottle of flavourless 18mg/ml nicotine (often known as a 'nicshot') to a 50/60ml shortfill bottle only makes 3mg/ml nic eliquid.

If you vape at 12mg/ml nic strength, this can be achieved by adding 10ml of 72mg/ml*nic to 50ml of 0mg eliquid in a 60ml shortfill bottle.
If you vape stronger than 12mg/ml and want larger quantities, then mixing yourself appears the only sensible way. (There are many oneshot flavour concentrates that make mixing easy and much cheaper than ready made).

As far larger tanks, China is your friend, as are the classifieds.

striker42 I was never a fan of the larger tanks before .... And didn't want to go sub ohm .....however I used 24mg juice ...but now with all the changes and reading everyone's posts I thought I'd give the sub ohm thing a better try ..... Lol but MTL ...I found that the subtank nano worked well for me and Pepperty kindly helped me out with a couple of tanks .....I also bought a prism T20 S ...which I really like but it needs refilled more often than not .......however on the bright side that's been just over 3 weeks since I had a cigarette...so feeling very positive

At least you've decided to give it another go and thus far it's working, keep it going. If you've had to change your gear/set up due to what is now available and you've managed to get something that suits you, all the better. As Postmodern Smoking has already stated, if you want to vape 24mg + then your only option would be DIY.

gill2009 I know in the grand scheme of things it's not very long ....but I'm very happy with myself the last time I vaped I still smoked 2/3 ciggies/ day so thank you x

  We all started the same Fagsareus...I celebrated my three weeks I remember...& over 4 years later, I've never touched a stinkie...& never will.

  Hang in there...it does get easier
