Brilliant! He'll probably come into his own next year. Some of my flowering plants have just flowered. I need to cut them back hard after to encourage bushiness etc. It's all trial and error. Best I get rid of the weeds too (eventually) A weed is only a plant in the place where you don't want it ... Trevs rolled his sleeves up and is proper going for it

Another update: Trev is going from strength to strength. Sorry to keep posting I know it’s probably really boring to everybody else I just can’t help it, I can’t believe the progress I’m seeing

Go Trev! It's not boring and there's something special that you raised with your own hands from a seed.
For my part the garden is very much a work in progress. When I moved in this spring it was three lawns and one tiny, not very exciting border. One lawn is surrounded on three sides by an overgrown Leylandii hedge which has got to go - that won't be cheap. Spent most of the summer decorating/fixing up the inside, so only dug out a couple of new borders so far. Next year I will focus on digging up more lawn as I hate mowing grass. (It is number two on my list of pointless activities, only bested by washing the car).

I’m very horticulturally challenged so for me to grow something as spectacular as Trev was a massive accomplishment for me...I will have to post an up to date picture tomorrow as I’m most proud of him I do love my Trev and he is doing his best and doing me proud bless him . Lawns are massively hard work especially if you’re in a new build like me as they dont have the best foundations and soil for ease of luxurious grass that I am so very jealous of when I see other people’s especially when they don’t seem to put much effort into it and just land themselves with what I like to call “lawn porn”. I have had to have mine changed to fake grass after putting many many hours into having the perfect lawn only to be repaid with a boggy mess as soon as the rain falls . This is the second new build I’ve been in where I’ve had to replace the lawn with fake grass which actually I hate ha ha! I would love to have that perfect lawn and I enjoy cutting a good lawn personally but totally get that others may not . good luck with your borders and the transformation of your own garden you will have to post some piccies I love nosying at others creations

Well ,you asked for pics... For the last week I have mostly been painting and re-felting the shed: After spending several weeks taming the privet hedge behind it. Previously it was old and flaking off Dark Oak, or as I prefer to call it Clinical Depression Umber. Looks like a bought one now

Am loving the description of original paint! your shed looks fantastic and colour is very uplifting When we moved here the fences were painted in what i can only describe as 'baby poo brown' so i went with black in an attempt to mask it, thankfully it worked well. If they had of been unpainted i'd have gone straight for a pastel but I don't think it would have covered?

Well it still took two coats of Garden Shades to completely obliterate it. Though expensive paint, it seems to go quite a long way and is better value in 5L tins.
