I will ask her and I am willing to bet my vaping gear on it that she has She is in Devon, but has lived up north etc, I will give you some clues, see if anything rings a bell and if you know her. so childish I know but I am childish Here goes-she and her husband have always had/shown/bred rough collies, they gave up showing for a bit due to health, she and I met six yrs ago as we bought litter mates Australian shepherds, she showed the Aussie a lot more than I did, sadly Pebbles died young of epilepsy, my girl has petit mals and hopefully it will never go full. Their Prefix is............. Sharrain, so you know her? Not personally but have been at shows where they were (big shows) l am sure that Rifflesea know her and visa versa, in the near future l will be starting on a life long pedigree for Rifflesea from the first dog she ever owned upto the present day (hopefully) and this will take some real brain work on my part so the dosh l save from the e cigs will be well invested Just a thought ask her if she knows of the W.E.C.S Club and if so ask her if she remembers the lady that did the Breed Table about 10 years ago?

Will do that as well, So are rifflesea the old type collie or the lighter boned etc more modern breeding or did they evolve with time? Pats pup came from Nottingham or somewhere quite a way from her, I have been told the prefix but for the life of me I cant remember it.

Ripple, i switched over a period of around 2/3 weeks! I didn't intend to quit, just cut down and I didn't tell anyone I was quitting so I wasn't put under any pressure. I was soon down to 2 rollies a day, morning one and early evening. So i got up one morning and just thought, this is silly, i'll try vaping first thing and see if I can miss this ciggie out, and I did. So in the evening I thought, ok, I've not smoked today, lets see if I can do without this one. So that was my first day smoke free. Then it was quite easy! I did have a ciggie a couple of months ago, it was terrible, I can't imagine that I'd managed to smoke for so long, vaping really is much nicer Good luck, count the ones you don't have Also it's probably a good idea to do both in the beginning as it takes a bit time to really work out this vaping malarky and find juice with a flavour/strength to suit. It's not a race to give up, you'll get there in your own time

It was a major test for me yesterday to see if I`d be tempted to try the old analogues. Had a few people over for food and beers as the weather has been so glorious. I wasnt tempted at all by people puffing away on ciggies, kind of put off by it tbh. I thought I`fold as a ciggie is nice with a cold beer.

I've a horrendous sense of direction, even with Sat Nav. How on earth do you get lost with a sat nav? Hi Ripple, this seems to be turning into a Bristolian forum

Took me about a week to make the switch fully. Cut down by half every day, but it was the last 2, first one in the morning and last one before bed that were the last to go. Still had a packet of ciggies on the table but tried to reach for the e-cig instead. More about remembering to pick up the e-cig instead of the habit packet. Take it in your own time and don't put any pressure on yourself or your head may feel that it's missing out and make you want an analogue more and more. Some folks make the switch the instant they pick up the e-cig for others its a few days, a week or two or a month, some folks never get 100% e-cig use and still have 1 or 2 every day. But in the grand scheme of things whats 1 a day compared to 20? You probably breathe in more crap at a bbq Don't big it up to much in your mind, unless thats what works for you, then make it a massive deal and announce it to the world E-cigs still require a little will power .... but thats mostly to not buy everything you see on the forum lol

Hi All, just got back from day with family and boy isn't it hot in the car even with a/c on!! glad to be home in the cool out of sun, thanks for all advice today it is a real help to hear others methods, making me realise there is no right or wrong way to approach this project just take each day as it comes and fingers crossed will get there in the end.
wobble im not actually in Bristol just the p/c is i'm about 20ish miles away in the countryside (whats left of it) Don't get half as much traffic as you lot do and rush hour is a breeze here compared to what you lot have to put up with. Right of for a cuppa and a chill out,

I have early onset emphysema too ripple, but the specialist told me as long as I don't smoke anymore, it won't get any worse. I'll have to have a cat scan every 2 years though just to be on the safe side as I passively smoke.

At the risk of being personal, ignore me if you want, what are the symptoms of early onset emphysema/copd? This was diganosed in my case as l had severe chest infection but could not breath enough to talk or walk was told that l had no oxygen in my lungs and unless l got oxygen l would not make 24 hours, so a week in hospital and a week on oxygen and l was back to normal but the way mine has gone is because l am on imunne supresents and if l catch cold etc l end up in hospital as my system can not cope because of the meds, since then l have the label of COPD, but it is only mild and as long as l stay away from obviously ill people l seem to cope fine
