Hey all,
I got a Vision Ego Rainbow (Yellow) today in standard resistance however I seem to have an issue, when stick it on any of my Riva 1100 batteries the light flashes about 4 times. Batteries are fully charged.
Any ideas?

Sounds like a short - try measuring the resistance. Keep it away from your Riva - it could burn out the circuit.

All my other cartomisers and atomisers work fine. Just tried it on my variable voltage eGo battery and it works fine with that.

Try adjusting and pushing the center pin slightly on the stardust with a pair of pliers..
It's quite possible that's it's sticking out a tad too much and crushing the grommet insulator on your RIVA. The insulator on the ego VV is usually hard rubber and the RIVA insulators are a softer silicone..

I find the Stardusts can be a bit picky in terms of what they work on - like macca says it is usually a problem with the centre pin. I have found that you can sometimes resolve it but otherwise I just give up and put them on a battery they will work with!

True but the only reason I went for them is because all the texts say they are Riva friendly.

I've not had a single problem with mine on my Riva, and neither has hubby. We must have ten between us. I would say that I am very careful not to screw them on to the battery too tight cos I've heard they can compress the centre pin. Might be worth contacting the supplier and getting it swapped?

True but the only reason I went for them is because all the texts say they are Riva friendly. They do fit the RIVA..You get occasional odd one that due to tolerances does not want to work.. For example I have an imist that works with just about anything but just will not work with just one ego type battery that I have..

I've just put a meter on it and it seems to be measuring 2.2r. Which basically explains everything. Doh!

Why won't a 2ohm carto not work on a Riva?

Why won't a 2ohm carto not work on a Riva? Womble is right (just check the bottom of his post ) A 2.2ohm vision should work just fine on a riva

Riva's don't like low resistance stuff, they tend to burn out.

Riva's don't like low resistance stuff, they tend to burn out. Thats true, the switches CAN burn out when the resistance is too low but 2.2ohms is well within it's capabilities sam.
