18650 Battery charging on holiday

For my LT, i have the single battery charger that came with it and a xtar wp2 charger, can either of these be converted to run off a cigarette socket, or will i have to ask the campsite to plug it in for me, i'm thinking the latter?

I think you can buy a adapter cable for the xtar which runs off the cigarette lighter socket..

Edit: Actually any 1-1.5 amp and above rated cigarette lighter adapter which has the correct plug to plug into the charger will do..

Hey macca you will never guess what i just found in the charger box, yup a car charger, i am oficially a twonk So that's all good to go, just need a multi charger adapter so we can run multiple things off of the car socket, though i guess when using the xtar it's best not to be charging other things as well due to current drain.

Anybody know what the max amps you can run off a car cigarette socket is?

The cigarette lighter will easily cope with a 1 amp load and others as well.. I think the car cigarette lighter fuse is rated 10A if I remember correctly..

google seems to say about 8amp max continuouse load, so the charger and a phone + satnav should be ok

12v x 8 amp =96 watts..

That's what you got to play with..Your charger will take 12 watts max with two batteries..You satnav will be another 12-20 watts and a phone will take about 2.5 watts..So total of 35-40 watts max..

You could double that and still have spare capacity left..

That one is 5 amps @ 12 volts so 60 watts.. Will easily cope..

Actually looking at the WP2 specs it's a 5 watt device, so you could quadruple it and not have any place to sit..
