Hi nightus - great first post and good to see you have given so much thought to this. I was amazed when I tried my first Riva and have never looked back and I used to smoke cigars! The Visions are great to start with - simple to fill and you can see when they need topping up. If you get into the swing of it there are plenty of things to try later. As has been said, many people move away from tobacco flavoured juices, but not everyone - I still mainly use them, but then I don't have a sweet tooth

What a warm welcome from you all. Thanks. Carried on with the skycigs a bit yesterday, still not sure, and then WOW - the Rivas and clearomiser arrived today. Hastily topped up the batteries (they were pretty full already) and filled the clearo with HS T5 (555). This was much simpler than I expected, not fiddly at all except for the childproof bottles are hard to squeeze and don't give many drops each time so it takes a bit longer. However I guess they are ideal for filling cartomizers where you only need a few drops each squeeze. Anyway, just been outside to try it. Started with a few puffs of the skycig, then about 3 mins with the Riva and what a difference, loads more of everything, especially nice flavour but that could be the juice. Then to finish off, one of my Silk Cut cigs for comparison. The cig is still the real thing after the skycig, but not so noticeable after the Riva. AND when I got back inside realised that that had been a real hit. This might actually be going somewhere. Only one thing was wrong, I got the standard Riva 1100 kit delivered even though I had asked for a 2nd clearo instead of the cartomisers but a quick call to Jason of Vapeescape put that right and in the post tonight. Even better, he told me to keep the carts and cone and let somebody else use them which I thought was a very generous offer. Well done for him

Good to hear you are getting on well with your kit Nightus.. Stick with it and it'll get better..Those Hangsen bottles have a smaller nozzle, but they can be squeezed at certain locations of the bottle speeding up the filling.. I'll let someone else point you in the direction of their favourite spiky thing for filling..

When I found out what these Rivas were like I didn't even care what they looked like. I tried lookalikes, they were ok but didn't get me off cigs. Now I find that I use the riva, go off and do something and forget abiut real ones. When my brain tells me it wants nicotine, I briefly think about having a cig. Puff on the Riva then forget about cigs again. Better still it has got to the stage where my brain says nicotine and I don't think of real cig first. I have found my danger zone, First one of the day ( dry mouth) and when I finish work ( dry mouth) Tea break was hours ago. They are the only 2 times I make myself wait until I have a cuppa in front of me. Both these times I look at the Riva and want a cig. Today I cured the after work one, had a mint 5 mins before I finished and the Riva was fine when I got outside

Nightus, give the cartomisers a go that you got with the kit - you might be surprised at how much you like them

Hi Nightus, I would also suggest giving the cartos a go as well! I started with cartos and recently got a vision and TBH I prefer the cartos, plus (dont know if its just me) but the visions seem to get through some serious amount of juice! And if you dont like the cartos ill be happy to wash out my vision and do a swap lol

OK, I've read all your replies and they are all good, very encouraging and far too many for individual replies. However a few stand out for attention:- First I corrected my OP. Changed PPC (Personal Pocket Computer which I have used on and off for 10 years) to PCC - Personal Charging Case. Slip of the stylus there. (Thanks Karma for not pointing that out) @batticus - Night Bus indeed, never been called that! @chrissie, richdude and karma - OK I will give a decent carto that Jason gave me a try and compare the two. I'm using Skycig cartos at the moment which don't impress me. I think I read somewhere they have a higher than standard impedance to preserve the small battery (which makes sense) but doesn't necessarily give a good vape. @ richdude - First time out with the clearomiser I also thought it used a lot of juice, but put that down to brand new, dry wicks etc. Then saw your comment and checked it, and yes I think it is using more than expected, but what do I know. I'll update after a bit more usage. However it does give a huge hit compared to the skycig. Will be interesting to compare use to a proper carto when I get the chance. Anybody else have comment on Vision juice usage? maccafan and karma - spikey thing will have to wait until it is in stock and I can see what it is, but I get the idea.

Anybody else have comment on Vision juice usage?. Have you got the long wick version of the Vision? If so, there has been several reports of high juice usage with those.

Okay people say they use a lot of juice, so where does that juice go if you are not vaping it? Surely it goes quicker because it's working well and producing more vapour and therefore vaping better? Please can someone correct me if I'm wrong!
