Found this but how do you pick out certain bits of the post without quoting the lot ??? Yeah I know, I'm proboardlexic Quote Occasionally, when reading through an interesting thread, you'll find a specific post you'd like to respond to; this is when you'll use the Quote feature. After clicking the Quote button in the top-right corner of the post, you'll be taken to the standard posting page where the quoted content will already be included in your reply. Begin your message by clicking into the message area immediately after the last [/quote] tag.

just delete the bits you don't want to quote, but make sure you don't delete the quote brackets. I'm going to move this to the forum help board Annie, that way if anyone else needs to know, they will find it easier

Annie, have a practice in the sandbox - that's what it's there for Another way of doing it is to copy the bit you want to refer to & then go into full reply, paste, hilight & click on the insert quote tag (third from the right bottom row) However, doing that wont show who it is you are quoting.

Just a little extra tip, if you want to quote more than one person: - Click 'Quote' on the first one.
- Edit the quoted text as desired.
- Highlight everything in the text box and copy (Ctrl+C, if you like keyboard shortcuts).
- Navigate back to the thread.
- Click 'Quote' on the second one.
- Edit the quoted text as desired in that one.
- Go to the top of the text box and paste (Ctrl+V).
- You've now got two quotes in a row (with the one you wanted first appearing first).
- Repeat as desired, for however many bits of the thread you need to quote.
- Add your own comments wherever you need, and post.
