Mini-Argento pin

I seem to be getting reduced power from my mini-argento, and I suspect it may be a problem that I have seen mentioned a few times on the forum - the centre pin that connects to the battery has got pushed too far down. (I've exhausted other alternatives such as trying different batteries, using different atties and cartos, etc).

Can anyone explain the best way of fixing this? Are there any videos you're aware of?

When you say pushed down too far are you meaning that the battery has pushed to positive pin into the device so it is not contacting properly?

Take a tooth pick or similar item and gently prize/lever up the center post. It only needs a slight movement though to don't go mad.
But if it's making contact and actually vaping then it's more likely to be something else, is it fitted with a hot spring ?

I was thinking maybe on some occasions I've had atties screwed on too tight, so maybe the pin has got pushed into the device too far and now won't make proper contact with the atty.

I'm assuming the connection is OK on the inside, between the pin and the battery itself (otherwise I guess I'd hear the battery rattling around loosely).

Does this make sense?

If it is the pin on the atty connection then I woluld follow the advice of the above posts to leaver it out a bit gently

lol at myself. I just took the atty of my maxi Argento to look at the pin then resopnded. I then tried to vape it without an atty on it, my lips were searching for something that was not there. Oh dear the weekend release from the funny farm myght be revoked at this rate lol

The last few times I've tried a vision on it, I've got nothing at all out of it. 360 were working fine, but I've been having trouble over the last day or so. Sometimes they fire and sometimes not.

Yes, it has a hotspring.

Is it happening with all carto's or atties that you put on it?
and do you have a hot spring fitted?

Put a meter across the battery connector and measure with a freshly charged battery..If it's not putting out close to 4.1-4.2 volts something is wrong on the inside..Most likely the switch.

If it is putting out the correct voltage it's the pin.

I don't have a meter, so I can't test that at the moment. Any recommendations where to buy one?

Since you mention the switch, I just noticed something. I thought the switch was pretty much on/off, with the click indicating when it turned on. But I've just noticed that if I press lightly and make it click, I get nothing, but if I then apply more pressure, I get power. Does this mean the switch is knackered? Can that be fixed?

not knackered but possibly dirty. You can get cheap meaters at maplin's. They often have a deal on where you can pick one up for a few quid. while your in there you could pick up some contact cleaning spray to try to clean up the switch. I think Macca has replied on a post somewhere an that very subject.

Get a meter first and test it then we'll think about the switch..

The switch on the Indulgence is very hard to fix.

As an incorrigible cheapskate, I'm inclined to order the £2.89 meter from ebay in Macca's link, rather than the £8.99 one from Maplin. However, if anyone knows of good reasons for thinking the Maplin one is approximately 3 times the quality / usefulness, to justify 3 times the price, then please let me know.
