Can I just ask, how long have you had your argento's before these problems have started occurring?

I've only had mine for just over a month. To be fair, though, I should point out that the vast majority of the time, I direct drip onto a 306, and I don't have any drip protection other than a standard 306 drip tip, so I often get leakage around the connection end of the attie that I have to wipe away. The chances of me having got juice leaking down into the switch mechanism within 1 month of use are therefore (I presume) vastly higher than if I'd be using (say) a Vision clearo for the same period of time.

What finally happened? Did you get a good result?

Contact cleaner helped a bit, but it's still firing inconsistently. I still haven't sorted out the leakage situation yet. So at the moment, it doesn't take long for me to overfill an atty by 1 or 2 drips and subsequently cack juice everywhere (especially when I don't notice it leaking, put the argento down, and juice then pools on the flat bit at the top of the body, and runs off down the side).
In any case, I've got used to pressing the button in a bit harder, and this mostly makes it fire OK. Also, I'm in the process of upgrading what I use, so I'm not going to be relying on it for much longer. I'll probably give it another good clean once I've got drip protection, and see how it goes. If it's still inconsistent, and further attempted repairs would be likely to involve much faffing about, then to be honest, I'll probably just offer it up to anyone wants to have a go at it, or can use it for spare parts. Once I've got my hands on my next mod, I'm happy to think of it as though the mini-argento has served its purpose (as a budget-priced means of introducing me to bigger battery mods in general, that is). Would it be of any use to you, macca?

I am interested only from the point of dismantling it if it's broken or going to be thrown away ..
