Ok I have 4 batteries which I assumed we just the same until I read comments and things on here. I started with Riv batteries and got 2 EgoT's after. They look the same so I treat them the same and just say " Oh I use a Riva" So of course I was advised not to use lower than 2.0 ohm visions etc........ Also the draw on the visons is different on them both I had to test them after a conversation last night. I saw a post yesterday saying on the egoT's the 1.8 ohm is fine. Any other differences I shold know about ? learning something new every day here

They are same battery's its the manufacturers who are different (I think) IMO the ego joytech ones are much better made than the Riva's

Genuine ego batteries except the ego-c upgrade and the ego-c twist outputs 3.25-3.3 volts under load throughout the charge cycle, so they are ok to use with LR 1.8 and even 1.6 ohm carts. So max current is approximately 2 amps (3.3/1.6)
A RIVA outputs 4.2 when freshly charge (4 volts under load) which gradually decreases. So with any less than 2 ohm atty/cartos you are passing currents in excess of 2 amps (4v/2ohm=2 amps) which the wire and circuitry is not really rated for which could lead to solder joint failure. You would have the same result if you used a 1.3 ohm carto on a ego, though the ego does have the wire thickness to cope with higher currents slightly better than the RIVA.
