My gut feeling dream is to say very little He seems to like the Riva but he's probably having a wee battle with himself as he sounds like a really committed smoker. I'd say as little as possible and just make sure there is a charged battery and some juice he likes nearby. Remember, this has to be his decision. If he thinks you've talkied him into it he has a great get out clause............ ........... softly, softly........... good luck

I agree, he is fighting with his concience. his image says fags his taste buds say vape give him plenty of space and keep him topped up ready to go, in his own time odds are he's nearly there but softly softly (wish i could do the same with wifee)

I think the way you are going about this is absolutely perfect I was a dedicated smoker, it was part of my internal identity, quitting was not something I ever considered or attempted even though I knew it was effecting my health. If anyone had tried to put pressure on me to quit it would have had no effect on me... well maybe it would have made me even more determined not to quit because I can be a stubborn bastard . Stopping smoking happened to me accidentally. Trying ecigs was an impulse decision when I had a chest infection and wasn't able to smoke enough to get my nicotine fix.... after 2 days I was a vaper and no longer a smoker. No will-power involved, no external pressure, no conscious decision to quit... I enjoyed vaping more, it was a natural progression. My feeling is that although it may be a slower process for your husband he is going to end up in the same place, vaping instead of smoking.

Are these two batteries lasting you both well enough or could you be better off with another two batteries? If he is down to a handful of fags a day, that in itself is amazing

A cynical person may think that this forum was sponsored by the vendors.... but no, we are just compulsive shoppers who want to help others to enjoy that part of the experience

Takshaka, Exactly what I'm thinking why I'm not going to put pressure on him, cos I know, as you said if anyone was to put pressure on me I would do it more, cos it will make me feel as though they are taking away something I enjoy. Sandra, the batteries are going strong right now. The first Riva he took to work with him and used it from early morning till the evening and still had charge by the evening, but I told him to take the other one to work today, cos I'm assuming it's better to charge them when they are fully empty (I'm not sure) but in general that is the rule I know when topping up batteries. Regarding hubby leaving me the other Riva, to be honest I don't want to touch it, I vape a little and put it back, as right now my mission is to keep the rivas ready and waiting for hubby's needs. I don't want to use the spare riva and find that both rivas are drained of battery at the same time, cos I really do feel that hubby is loving the riva and wants it beside him constantly. Maybe I do need another battery, but to be honest I want my own Riva

Dream I believe that with this type of battery there's no need to run them down, they are happy with little-and-often charging. I think the way you're creating an evironment in which it's ok for hub to vape is exactly the right way forward. Most of us push back against being told what to do or not do and if he makes the decision himself he's much more likely to stick with it.

Update is definately needed: Thought I would let you all know. I think hubby's divorcing me and marrying the Riva His come home and told me that the Riva is one of the best I've bought so far! His only smoked 4-5 rollies till now (he would have easily smoked over 20-30 by now) and his amazed that the battery lasts all day, also totally amazed that even though his vaping constantly the e liquid is still there. I am very pleased, so far so good

Fab news dream, but don't let the vendors know about this never-ending liquid you've found

I know, I'm shocked myself. I thought he would have vaped much more! But, yesterday I filled the cleoromiser to the top black line, he vaped till there was a quarter left. Today I filled it up again and it's just below half way.

Fantastic news Dream As Oneday says, the batteries have no memory, so don't need draining before recharging. In fact it's best not to fully drain them
