Does anybody know if I will get away with popping one in my hand luggage so I can to pop to the loo and a have a puff or two?
Not sure if the X-ray machine will pick it up. Also I haven’t a clue what the airlines regulations are on E-cig’s
I would hate to have it confiscated.

Also I haven’t a clue what the airlines regulations are on E-cig’s I would hate to have it confiscated. First off, you will have no problems with taking your E-cig on to a plane, liquids should be treated in the same way as any other liquid you may carry. In a bag nothing over 100mls in a single container. If you are using a mod i'd take the batteries out and keep them in a battery carrier. If you are using something like an Ego, either turn the battery off or unscrew from an atomiser/tank/carto. I have flown Many many times and never had a problem. The security staff know what E-cigs are. Do not carry batteries in your hold luggage they are now banned from here. Liquids in bulk can go in your suitcase. As to vaping on a plane, if you must, then I have vaped in the loo using a high PG liquid which produces very little exhaled vapour. I flew BA earlier this year to NY and vaped discretely in my seat using a SD keyring and also in the loo. Just don't blow it into the smoke alarm. I have also vaped in the loo on a Easyjet fllights many times. I have also Vaped in the departure longe.

Also as you prob know, your not allowed to take liquids on a plane, so I would of thought that would rule out taking clearos in hand luggage ??? Maybe worth calling the airline your flying with and possibly the airport. You may be able to take it through security but not use on plane ??? Let us know please as im planning a holiday in Feb for my GF's 21st and will need to know by then lol

I always took my mini ecig 901 in my handbag, never had a problem. I didn't use it on the plane but have taken it with me twice now. It worried me too at first.
I have read of a few people packing for abroad in either the Members Area or the Lounge area on this forum, so it can't be a problem. I was looking for the threads for you but couldn't find them.

If you're taking clearos you need to put them in the little plastic bag that you put all liquids that are under 100ml in. I've flown loads of times with my ecigs and juice and never had a problem. I tend to sneak into the loo if I want a quick puff or two, I blow the vapour downwards and waft my hand around it

When I went on holiday in June I only took hand luggage so took all my vaping kit into cabin plus my toiletries by litre sized bag was bulging ! In fact my friend (who works as Cabin Crew) was shocked at the amount of liquid I had ! But no one at security either end batted an eyelid.
But after last weeks incident I wouldn't recommend vaping on the plane although others on here do it regularly deodorant and such like can set of smoke alarms why risk it unless the airline allows it. I took some gum and didn't have any cravings during the flight which was a first for me and a far more enjoyable travelling experience

Thanks peeps, as always well informed posts, Des many thanks for your detailed post. I have no wish to puff away in my seat but as said just nip into the loo, to take the edge off the trip. I just didn’t want the X-ray machine to pick up on the batteries, and end up having it confiscated.

If they xray your batteries and wonder what they are, they'll dust them for explosive residue, ask what they are - then hand them back. They wont confiscate them even in the worst case.
I've taken my ecigs all around the world, even into countries that ecigs are banned and I still had no problems with them in my carry on. That includes CE2s/clearos in there not in a clear bag in its own tray.
They know what they are and as long as you're not fogging up the bathroom you can easily vape on the plane.

As I said I've never had a problem on a plane. But then again I've never blown my vape straight into the smoke detector in a plane loo!
