As Chris says, 4-5 hours from new, after that about 2.5 hours I generally find Raggy.

do they definitely flash for a long time then go green. mine were flashing for about 3 hrs but still didnt go green. ive put in a sdmk2 its been in an hour its flat and not flashing just a constant orangey red and the charger is fairly hot, when the ggtb batts were in there and it was flashing the charger was virtually cold. raggy...........

Mine only flashes with certain batts, others the charger light stays red until they're done and then goes green.
Sorry to be rather vague Raggy, but for me, batteries and the charging of seems to be a random thing, I had a SD batt that the light never turned green, yet the batt still charged.
Have you tried all the 14500's you bought?

theres a film of soot all over the kitchen and dining room, its very fine you cant see it but wipe your hand across ie: the table theres loads of it i new there was something wrong right from the off, which is why i phoned the supplier.
edit: i will say that that battery could have done serious damage if it hit you, it was still untouchable several minutes later when i found it down the back of the extractor over the cooker, which in turn could have caused a fire or worse'

Raggy, That is a horror story!!! It's also a reminder to all of us never to leave a battery on charge when we are not at home to supervise it. I hope LF take this very seriously!

ok, my charger battery situation has been addressed by the supplier to his and my satisfaction. the charger will be winging its way back to them and im hoping when its tested the findings will be made known. i now have this charger www.ledfiretorches.co.uk/ultrafire-wf139-charger-c-w-r123-spacers.htmli know its the same as yours perpy, but i had a long chat with a very helpful (non salesman like) chap and although the pila is a better charger the better is more about conditioning the battery rather than safety, and this one is more adaptable (i wont be putting my TW SDMK2 batts in there though). it was double the price of yours perpy but the man said that he can 100% guarantee it is genuine, he went on to say many on ebay etc are copies, im not suggesting yours is but i just wanted to be sure. anyway ive charged the 14500s and now puffing vaping on the GGTB, the draw seems great and the vapour heavier albeit less harsh than the SD mk2. i will report back soon. and thanks guys for the kind comments after my mini guy fawkes night. raggy oh and the new charger is in the conservatory on a timer.

All that matters Raggy, is that neither of you were hurt, the situation is being resolved to your complete satisfaction and you now have a charger that you feel happy as possible with so you can enjoy your vaping again.

Well done all round (((Raggy))) I notice that it says "PCB Protected batteries recommended for use with this charger". I'm wondering if that means you must not use it for charging the mauve unprotected ones ??? After all, it's a recommendation rather than a stipulation.IYKWIM scylla
