I'm a novice with regards to VV and such........... but am loving it............. especially vaping on the Provari its a great PV and can now see why people have raved over these thats not to say that I dont enjoy vaping on my LT, Twist or Riva anymore............. each has their own enjoyment Just a tad confused about the batteries, I know these are recommended for the Provari.............. but they are a tad expensive (says she after spending nearly £200!! ) The AM IMR's have been recommended for the Provari and other PV's ......... but if any experienced vapers can explain: 1. Can I expect these to last for some time? 2. How many charges can I reasonably expect to get out of a battery before it went to battery heaven? 3. Which supplier would be the cheapest to say buy 4? 4. Is there an alternative if say, for some reason every supplier I used didnt have these in stock?

Bloody good bunch of questions there!! Will be really interested to know the answers to them. I guess if something went wrong and it was proved you weren't using AW IMR's then Provari may not honour the guarantee is the only thing I can think of at the moment.....

allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=private&action=display&thread=4636&page=1 for the cheapest option I got 6 AW IMR 18490s with my provari that I have been rotating, they also get used in the GGTS with the kick and I get through 2 maybe 3 a day and they go on charge each night after use no matter how depleted they are. They have by now had at least 150 recharges each so far and are still as good as day 1. Reportedly they are good for 500 recharges so I'll be looking at another year from mine. And that's just the 18490s. if you use one a day Normal purchase price from uk vendors with their discount codes mean you can happily run 3 batteries for 3 years for about £27 IMR batteries are a safer chemistry battery that allow very high drain of power very quickly without being hindered by protection circuits, the provari provides any protection but the safer chemistry make up of the battery makes over heat, whilst not impossible- very unlikely. Their nominal operating voltage output is 3.7v, a vv unit like the provari will drag 6v from it on it's highest setting. A protected battery will not allow such a drain. That's about as simple as I can get it. AW are regarded as the best by many people, not only in the e-cig world. That's why we are happy to pay a bit extra for them

Thanks Blakey............ I'm still a complete novice when it comes to mods and batteries.................when you put it like that about the cost of the batteries it dont seem that expensive And its nice to know that there is the safety aspect to them as well. it was just the initial shock of seeing the price of them for one that threw me at first................glad to know that they will last a relatively long time. Now just have to get some more!

My AW's are still going strong a year on Esme and they get charged a lot . . . well worth the slightly higher price tag IMO.

I had the best luck the other day.
I ordered 4 cheap batteries, and I guess they must have been out of stock, because the vendor sent me 4 AW's istead (So I got 4 AW IMR high drain 700mAH 18350's for the price of 2)

I will only use the red AW batteries in my Provari. I've yet to have one that has failed or needed to be thrown away and I've been using some of them for several months. It's worth paying the extra in my opinion.
I only buy mine from Vapeescape or Safercigs. I've heard there are a few fakes being flogged around the net.

I agree Steve................I want to make sure that I'm not going to be sold fakes, so will use tried and trusted suppliers but the advice given so far has been first class as always .

If you want genuine AW's, you can't beat buying them direct from Mr AW himself! Probably only worth it if you are buying 4 - 6 though.
