My favourite way to have salmon is grilled or pan-fried with a generous topping of black pepper, sea-salt and (most important) coarse brown sugar.

Blackcurrants or Cassis with beef.

Ground black pepper on grilled/BBQ'd pineapple.

Pesto (pasta sauce) as a spread on toast.

Oh now I've done that and it IS good. It has to be very dark chocolate though. Highest cocoa content you can find.

Two other things go really well with dark chocolate: chillis and bacon.
