Tim btw, I watched the video in UKecig-store and I saw that theres a way of taking the plastic thingy off before dry burning (I think that's the plastic you mentioned) take a look, click on the link in his comment above

The V3's are pretty much a doddle, take care not to trap the wicks (if you have the long wick version). I've also replaced one of my heads, my other one was fine just a little wick contaminated Currently vaping out the next V2 I need to do, then I'll have 5 all ready to go First time I've noticed them go tight on the draw, so this I thought would be a good time to clean BTW this I think would have been perfect for the job www.vapingthings.com/510_FIXED_PASSTHROUGH_FROM__649_-__999/p1311952_7048616.aspx Saves the real batteries

....just to add, when re-filling be careful not to flood over the wick too much, this will also result in a blob on your shiny gold battery terminal
