You sound just like my brother, he also builds his own computers and also is really into the flight simulation!
I cant really advise.... other than to say that my bro, well he also has an xbox and loves it, but that said whenever he is doing the flight simulation, that he does on his PC. He only uses the xbox for online war games and stuff.

xbox is the simple option but if you are already used to the PC then a rebuild wouldnt be too bad... its a shame you dont live closer or i would have done it for you ....we could talk you through it but after lavagate not sure if that would be wise Lavagate was merely a slight blip to my otherwise untarnished reputation..................... & also, we are close....I live in Shire too.....................

I tend to just keep up with my PC upgrades as time goes on... never costs me very much in a single go (plus I sell all the "old" parts to offset some of the cost of upgrading) my PC is already far and away better than the unreleased PS4 or XBOX 460 or whatever they want to call them
