Multimeter

Think I'm going to need a multimeter to test my coils, since the provari will have to wait a while. They seem to be about £6 or so, anything in particular I need to worry about with them or will any old one do?

As long as the multimeter can measure ohms (resistance) - and most do - you should be good to go.

Maplin sell this model which would be suitable.

Cool - make sure it comes with batteries though, and it might be an idea to buy a spare just in case any included battery is short lived.

Haha, I think you're probably right I watched a video and she showed that.
Also just watched your video on the tankometer, but unfortunately it doesn't do ohms

I did a short tutorial on checking your coil using a meter but watching it back realised I don't know enough to even advise my dog!!!
