Dont know why but i feel as though i want to do something But i mean something of a challenge, so it got me thinking After several ideas i thought of i couldnt find something that appealed instantly until i just saw a video of snowdon. So decided im going to walk up her. Now i know its a " begineers" mountain but afterall i am a begineer and at the moment totaly unfit, so i need to do some training and get fit, and next year i am going to get to the top. Who know year after k2 or everest ( i am of course only joking ) Im also going to set up a charity event for it and it will be for 2 Help for heroes and Children with cancer charity Dont know why ive had the urge to do something for the last few weeks, but tbh ive never really done anything like this and im now 30 and the most challenging thing ive done is run to the pub and now that ive gave the fags up i should be able to get fit. Just thought i would share

Lovely idea Matty Many years ago, I had a lovely camping holiday in Betws y Coed. Took the easy option though & got the train to the top of Snowdon, but did walk back down

I can't remember Matty - it was a long time ago I do remember we came down the wrong side though & ended up miles away from the camp site in Betws y Coed And unfortunately, there wasn't much of a view due to thick cloud

Great idea Matty, I used to live near snowdon, it's not a difficult climb, even if you're unfit, up and down in a short day. On one of my trips to Tibet I circumnavigated Mount Kailash, that was the hardest physical challenge I've ever done, 4 days walking and some of it at an altitude of over 19,000 feet. I think it's great you want to raise money for charities, may I suggest a smaller lesser known charity also? Help for heroes and large cancer charities have a huge number of people raising money for them, race for life, x factor singles etc....but there are lots of smaller charities that are really struggling, that's my 2 pennies worth, but good on you
