im not sure what happened really ...its new ive only used it once or twice but it didnt seem to feel springy... took it apart and the spring was all compressed, looks broke and 'burnt?' i have turned it around so there is a little springiness there but quite strange all the same You have had a short there more then likely from atty end .The spring has protected you from a severe heat up or bang................................... cheers Cliffy, yeah having seen and read alot of the stuff concerning batteries recently it does indeed seem that there must have been a short that 'burnt' the spring |
