Wow nice pics!! I got a Lumix G3 not to long ago that ive been playing around with! Still not very good with it though!! Can do the pics of kids, days out etc (point and shoot sort-a-thing but with manual settings!!) Either of you got any tips? Especially with taking close up pics of a fish tank (without a macro lense). O and setting white balance! That throws me off a lot!

Awww love those bird shot's, the robin peeking out from the rocks is so sweet, I've been feeding a robin that visits our garden she takes food from my hand, I've not seen her now for 8 days and I'm getting so worried about her....you've got some great captures there.

Hi there, my tip would be always use your histogram, I always expose slightly to the right of my histogram, it's easier to bring the levels down in processing with less noise in the image, under exposed always ends up noisey when you try to brighten it up, don't clip the edge of the histogram any levels butted up against the histogram either side and you end up with burnt or blown up highlights and lowlights that you will never bring detail back from.

And I always set my apperture at the level which will give me the fastest shutter speed (the wider open it is the faster the shutter speed you'll get), if you shoot handheld all the time or moving subjects like kids that will never sit still the faster the shutter speed the better.
