So, I found a panel mount ohmmeter supplier if peeps still want this..It is roughly £6.00 delivered so with a battery box and connectors it should cost around £9.00- £10.00 with shipping, but like I warned before, it will be notoriously inaccurate..
However, there is a better and cheaper way of doing this which is to make a pass through adapter with 1/2 meter flexible leads with insulated croc clips soldered in..
This will allow you to easily connect to your multimeter probes and check resistance (no load) and voltages both open circuit and under load and will cost about £4.00 to make..I will post a picture when I knock one up, but I made something similar for Dave a few months ago. I don't know if he is still using it.. This will be a lot more accurate since multimeters are much more accurate than a LED meter powered by a battery..

I do still use it macca and you are right - this is the way to go. I just get lazy sometimes! Plus I need a better multimeter!
