She's in soak now. Had zero money for cleaning products so used jif! An old toothbrush, tissues and lots of time. The only thing I haven't stripped is the coil as I've also ran out of wire. I noticed when cleaning black blobs of badness on the threads. Tiny specs if you like that had hardened. Tiny but difficult to remove. No amount of water and tissues will remove them bad boys. But unsure a series of those would interfere with the connection. Either way there all gone now. I've leave her to soak for a good couple of hours and then she'll get what every man(and women) needs. A good rubbing!

Right ok, I'll try and make this as uncomplicated as I can. I cleaned her all up as mentioned above only I used jif as the metal cleaner. It appears I can take the button out from the base, but can you then take the pole out from the button? I dont think you can on mine. That pole and the coil is the only thing I didn't clean properly. The rest I did do and had her gleaming. Even though I didn't use the metal cleaner mentioned above, I did clean, then soak and then clean all parts. Anyway fired her up on a fresh battery, and a nice load crackle comes out. But no vape. I had her set at 9. Anyway after a couple of moneyed she starts vaping lovely. After 5 mins however, the crackle is starting to die. I'm only slightly concerned because shes silk vaping nice. Maybe a couple of missed beats, but twenty minutes in and I can hear practically zero and I'm now having to give her a good 5 second drag minimum to get a half decent vape out and shes starting to die. The gg I can feel is hot, but she is defo doing. After 20 mins max, I'm hardly getting anything out. Change battery whilst shes hot and no change. Wait for her to cool completley, fresh battery and shes vaping again for ten mins? The only thing I wish to add, is the gg vapes an absolute demon with 2 18350 batteries without the kick. The output I would suggest or guesstimate feels similar to my provari on when its set at 4.2 volts. The gg does not feel it has 7 odd volts coming out. Vaping at over 5 volts on the provari I dislike, its too much. So could my coiling be an issue on the gg. The resistance wire I'm using says simply 15, and the non res says 20. That's all the info I have on the wiring. I have another wire that I dont use that just says AL?
And lastly, whilst polishing the kick, I noticed what appears to be a hair line crack on a piece of the brass. Its difficult to spot, but ill upload photo in 1 min, along with the button that I referred to earlier.
Many thanks

Jiff is quite abrasive mate, I wouldn't use that to clean the GG again.
The heat is something I am worrying about, your GG should not be getting hot and that heat suggests a short, I'll wait till you post a pic of this crack in the brass on the kick, I have a feeling you may have tightend the telescope up too much and done some damage.

Does this get stripped any more? Mines different from one in diagrams I've seen. Appears to vape well when cold. Heats up. It dies. Apologies for bad spelling and predictive text, I can't move the cursor on this bloody phone!

On the bottom of that switch you have a nut, pinch it with some pliers and twist the top of the switch and you will find that it comes apart. Then you can clean it. As luner says, it does sound like you have a short in that coil mate

Thanks guys I gotta go and walk dogs, I can't see any glowing from coil like hot spots, I've got only a tiny amount of wire left and I mean tiny. A load of AL stuff, but ill see if I can get another coil, but it will be one shot only as I've no bloody money to get some more!

Don't like the look of that kick, have you got another mod you can try it in and see if that one heats up too.

No I've no other mod. I had to take like 20 pics before you could see anything. It durant go all the way round just about 25 percent. When I say heats up I don't mean like hot hot. But like a phone thats running a few apps I guess. The first thing I need to do is get that pole out. You mean that hexaganal type nut blakey, the actual contact from that switch, your saying hold onto that and twist the knurled nut?
