firstly what part of the GG is heating up
secondly the switch is a weak part and needs to be cleaned ....as Blakey said push the button in and the post will pop out then grab it with some pliers and twist the button and pliers in opposing directions to get the button apart
give it all a good clean, specially the post and outter switch case

Right, just finished recoiling it. I used "15" for the res wire, and "AL" for non res. Got me self two sets of pincers and cleaned all that switch assembly and spring as instructed. Put it back, held me breath and she fired. Crackle crackle. Nice. No glowing. Then popped in the kick, fired it up, crackle crackle, Been vaping now a few minutes and she hasn't missed yet. It was heating up by the bottom of the tank, ggts to oddy base I guess but difficult to pin down exactly. It gets mobile phone hot after its running a few apps, so no were near burn hot. I can feel this one with new coil is also getting that warm.

It's going to get a bit warm, there's a glowing red hot coil in there Is it firing consistently now that it's had a cleaning?

Yeah, hasn't missed yet blakey. For info I like a tight draw, I've got that air thing closed all but a gnats cock from fully shut. That may add to the heat? Ill open it abit more and see if it cools down abit

Yep, you restrict the airflow too much and there's not much to cool anything down All you need to do now is keep the GG clean, should be fine now for a while

Yes. Still going fine. Opened that valve fully and she cooled right down within a couple if minutes. Could it have been the kick cutting it out when it got too hot do you think, or more likley just unclean spring and switch? Just can't understand why it would fire cold?

More than likely a dirty switch/dodgy coil, the kick is a bit too far from the heat Enjoy it, it'll be like a whole new mod now

Only took 3 pages! You answered it in the first sentence. Sorry blakey I thought you were referring to the post and spring at the base of the gg that the battery sits on.
