Just thought I would let you all know - there is nothing at all on the Housing List for me at all!! Again!! Oh, I had a reply this morning to me sending all my updated medical info to them re the 'band' I am in: I quote: 'I can confirm that you are in Band 2 which is the highest band that you can be in. It is the same band that applicants who are street homeless are placed into, so you are in the best position you can be' !! That makes me feel real good !! However, they have updated on the website in 'reason for this band' to state 'High Medical Need' instead of 'unknown'. I suppose I'm lucky to receive a reply at all!! Now will await the new list in two weeks time. MM

Yes, Jerry - I'm a believer in 'whatever will be will be' and there is a 'reason for everything' BUT this is all going on a bit of a long while!!! Must be patient!! MM

MM, perhaps if you asked them to install an elevator (lift) in your building, you might get their attention, or a lift. Who knows ??

It's not impossible, MM, but they would have to build an outside tower and put the lift in there. That's what was done here at our local library, when it was located in an old monastery. No doubt it would be a lot of work and very expensive. Keep trying and looking MM, I'm sure your persistence will pay off. You can't see it in this pic as the lift tower is in the back of the building. The tower that you see on the right of the pic is a staircase. The stairs leading to nowhere, on the left, used to lead to a church, but it burned down in 1950.

they would have to build an outside tower and put the lift in there. That's what I fantasise here I too shall have to move in the not-too-distant future cos I cannot manage these stairs. I'm not the only one though, there's younger fitter visitors to this top floor who puff and moan about them. scylla

That's a shame, Scyl. I hope you find something better, too.

Jerry, please come over here and build a flat castle for me & Scyll to share!! MM Coming over there is a very real possiblility, MM. As for a flat castle, I'm afraid that this the best I could do.

I know Scyl it went over the edge, but since I got the pic from Photobucket, I don't know how to shrink it. Wait a minute, I have an idea.

It's fine, Jerry - and at least I can see it (I've worked out that it's only TinyPic.com photos that are causing me problems but have no idea why.) scylla
