Forgive me for contradicting you, Jerry, I think you'll find that's actually WON'Tpower Natz is looking for, not WILLpower - she doesn't seem to have any problem with that at all... (In all those years of failing to stop smoking cigarettes, I always claimed it was WON'Tpower that I needed. It's scarce stuff, by all accounts)

What a lovely offer, Tetsy I'm used to dusty corners but if I ever got in one I'd need a team of extricators to get me out scylla x ...in that case, I think I'd have to recommend staying out of those corners, Scylla!! I'd offer to come and rescue you if absolutely necessary but better give me a bit more notice; you're a bit further away from me. You've set off a little 'dream idea' now, if I ever win the lottery I'd love to get as many of the forum members as possible together - specially the old eBay group people - hire a lovely country hotel for the weekend or something and send a car for anyone who wouldn't be able to come otherwise... ...oh dear, now it's hit me I suppose it would have to be 'send a plane' or risk missing out on people like Jerry, Aldo & so on. Think we'd better make that a Euromillions win...

Unless it's quick and easy I wouldn't worry too much about it, Chrissie - I can't help thinking that although displaying all the page numbers would be fine for a 5-page thread, this might not work out so well for a 27-page one. As you say, I can always enter the number in the white box. Just me being lazy - if there's a shortcut there I'll always try that first! Thanks for looking at it though - you're becoming quite the coding expert now; I am most impressed and probably a little jealous. Oddly enough, the Flash update installed fine without a hitch; it was just the Reader one that wouldn't. Tried turning off the Antivirus etc, no dice, it repeatedly fails partway through the download. I've concluded it might possibly be due to my elderly pc still running XP when the rest of the world has all moved on and decided to ignore it. There are definitely parts of the new, improved Firefox which are inoperative as I'm not running Windows 7 so I may as well get used to it! (and basically the pc's had all the housekeeping it's likely to get this week now, life being far, far too short...)

Delighted to hear the move is finally happening, MM.
Your internet provider will probably need to know whether you are taking your existing phone number with you to the new address or not, and they may also need to 'activate' broadband service for the phone line at your new flat if the previous occupant didn't use broadband. I reckon it could be worth contacting them sooner rather than later so they have time to arrange this if it IS necessary.
As you aren't millions of miles away, drop me a PM if it would be helpful for me to give you a hand with disconnecting and connecting things up at your new address - I can't claim to be a complete expert but I'm pretty good at crawling around in dusty corners and reaching plugs. Depending on when you need to do this, I'd be happy to fill the car up with a "load" to transport along with the computer and it's associated bits and bobs. Do please get in touch if this sounds as if it might help things go a little more smoothly.

Well here I am back again and all seems to be well now, everyone is happy. Well done, Chrissie! My margins are 'just right' and I can live without blue or blue/grey borders perfectly happily if AOL is too behind-the-times to display such exotica. I even have Firefox on the pc but rarely use it, I did spend some time this morning updating it to the latest version but then got horribly bogged down because it was grizzling about some of my Add-Ons (like Adobe Reader) being out-of-date and not compatible. Wasted some time trying to update those to keep it happy but lost my patience after a while (actually after the third time the Adobe Reader update failed...!!) and eventually gave up before my brain melted. I've meant to mention a couple of times that there is one tiny, tiny thing which would be great if it were slightly easier to use: the "Jump to page number" thing at the bottom left when you have multi-page posts. On my machine if there are (say) 5 pages in a thread, I hover the cursor over the "Jump to" bit then have to dive onto the page number I want while it is visible and click on it. The page numbers are only visible for a couple of seconds, so if I miss the one I'm aiming for or don't click fast enough, they disappear and I have to start over again. I do realise that owning up to this happening fairly frequently means I'm admitting to not being very good at aiming my cursor , but it would be easier if the page numbers stayed on view for just a little bit longer than they do! If by any chance this too is an AOL foible, please ignore this totally - I get there in the end, and obviously will continue to do so.

Thanks for the help, Jemima - I'm sure I have made a complete dog's breakfast of this but your suggestion looks as if it may work. Started off with a lovely screenshot of 'Paint'... (lol) then had to change from a .bmp to a .jpg, the forum won't preview it - ah well, I can always edit if necessary...
OOOOOOHHHHHHHH!!! It DID work! Hurrah! Thankyou once again - hope I can remember this another time...

Thanks for the advice, Jerry - sadly it doesn't seem to work, as in I can't seem to "paste" anything; I'm assuming that is how it should work? May be 'cos I'm using AOL. Tried the "PrtScrn" button with Ctrl, Alt & Shift as well but still no dice.
I think everything widened briefly a while ago then went back to quite large 'margins' either side as far as I'm concerned but as Chrissie has decided to leave it for today probably doesn't matter anyway. Thanks for your efforts anyway, Chrissie - probably best to try again another time if you're getting to the banging-head-against-wall stage now! Go get yourself a glass of wine, girl.
Forgot to mention last time, my screen is one of the 'old-fashioned' types, not a widescreen one. Don't know if this would make any difference?

Just in the spirit of more info, Chrissie: I use the AOL browser (some variant version of IE, I believe) and have had no blue edges visible at all at any point this afternoon, but neither have I needed to scroll across to view any posts, either. I also now have quite a wide gap to either side of the messages, but everything is perfectly legible. Screen res is 1280 x 1024.
(Don't know how to do the screenshot thing I'm afraid)

It's probably just me, Chrissie - I actually feel slightly inhibited about posting anything until I've caught up with 'the latest' so I don't go and stick my ruddy great hoof in the middle of something or make myself look more of an idiot than I really am! (OK, I broke my own rule by posting here but it felt fairly safe) Let's face it, if "New Topics" went all the way back when you've been away for several months you could spend the rest of your life trying to catch up with it all. As this often seems to be the way my entire life goes (currently running out of fingers for all the email replies I owe various people), I don't think I'd actually recommend it... !!

Well, here I am - late as usual - and I LIKE the vaping smilies so I've said so. When you're forever trying to catch up with yourself (as I always seem to be) they are really useful. 'New topics' is great if you are up to date, but fall a week or two behind and you'll miss out on heaps if you have to rely on it! When I'm doing a marathon catch-up the sleepy vapies are a total godsend - long may they rule!!

Well I'm definitely too late and located at the wrong end of the country, so I'm just here to say how great it is to see the way that fellow vapers are so willing to leap into the breach in a situation like this! Pat yourselves on the back people, you deserve it for being so good-hearted and generous.
Thankyou from me for a reminder that this country of ours may have been giving far too much media coverage to the useless greedy, selfish and destructive little scrotes who went a-rioting last week but has plenty more truly splendid people in it too.
Tim, I do sincerely hope that you are now sorted out one way or another and also that tomorrow goes as well as such things possibly can.

These came from a supplier as 901 connection and they are not > They are actually RN4075B1 so not compatible with 901 fittings. However, they do work and come with everything needed for a cut price cigarette sized vaping device. Each kit comes with cartridges, which can be topped up with your own e-liquid and a mains charger (UK). There are a limited number of these kits, so when they are gone, they are gone. They can be found in the clearance section here www.vapeescape.co.uk/search.asp?types=Stock+ClearancePurely by chance I've actually tried one of these out recently which came to me as a sample kit from a local seller who wanted me to assess it as he was considering adding them to his stock line and knew I've had a lot of experience with 901s. For the benefit of anyone who might take a squint at these and be attracted by the price, I can confirm that what Jason says about them is totally correct. They vape absolutely fine, look just like any normal 901 but the thread sizes are different so they won't fit any other DSE901 or RN4075 equipment. I couldn't match it up with anything else I have here and I do have quite a lot of different types around! The only thing which DOES seem to be compatible is the cartridges, which is fortunate - you wouldn't be stuck using the same ones that come in the box over & over. As such, they're an absolute snip as a tryout kit for someone to use as a first e-cig if they're uncertain about committing to the expense of a Tornegoriva or anything else rather less cigarette-like to begin with. Needless to say, I've advised the person who supplied me with one against getting any more of these and explained that as it isn't actually 901 this could only cause confusion and problems. All credit to Jason for being so upfront about this. As for the chumps in China who are evidently offering these described as 901s - I kind of hope they accidentally buy a car which has a Ford badge stuck on the front of it that turns out to be a Vauxhall underneath then discover they cannot get any parts or spares for Vauxhalls in China! That would be justice...

I sometimes think perhaps I shouldn't read these threads 'cos I just empathise too much and can almost feel myself welling up in sympathy; been there, know just what it feels like.
We've also had a cat who simply refused to eat anything whatsoever at the vets; the nurses were trying to hand-feed him bits of fresh tuna & chicken - total no-go. He had a busted pelvis and they didn't want to release him till he'd passed some solids. Soon as he was home he ate, and we went into the bizarre situation of praying for cat poo. And in time, we got some.
I'm sure you've done all the right things, including bringing her home again now. Test results all being normal should be grounds for being cautiously optimistic because at least that rules out some of the really ghastly causes which could have been behind it.
Feel for you both, Lynda, and have gone right back to sending positive thoughts - for you both. All very best wishes.

Well, I don't know, Nicky it sometimes seems as if no matter how many times we say it here, some people just WILL insist on beating themselves up about every time they have a 'real' ciggie!! Please don't - you've made good progress, really you have and you're fully entitled to be pleased about that progress, not wracked with guilt. Honestly - just let the changeover happen at it's own pace. This is a major life-change for most smokers and while some make the swap to vaping literally overnight, for many (if not most) of us it took quite a bit longer. In my own case, I continued to have the occasional 'real one' for many, many months; we're talking like one or two a month here. But compared to 30 a day, EVERY DAY, for over 30 years - so what?? In the end I realised that actually not only was I not enjoying these occasional ones very much (shooting upstairs to clean my teeth afterwards was a bit of a giveaway) but the very last one I had - actually I hated it!! That stage could be quite a distance away for you, or maybe you'll find a liquid you truly adore and it might be next week. But in the meantime, be gentle with yourself!! Focus on all the ones you haven't smoked, not the few you have. You're doing fine, and if you have the occasional day when it just doesn't quite go as you hoped, well, these things happen. E-cigs just provide you with more choices about how to cope with these situations - they don't come with a list of rules and regulations attached; revel in your new choices and give yourself a pat on the back for what you have achieved so far. You've earnt it - really you have.

Hi Paul and welcome to the AllAbout forum. Certainly sounds like you've done your research - and then leapt in with both feet and several credit cards. I hope they were all yours!!
Seriously, I'm never sure whether to be jealous of people just starting out on their vaping careers right now or not. There's just such a bewildering array of STUFF available now, and I thought it was confusing enough when I started back in 2008....
ALL MEMBER ALERT: Keep an eye on the classifieds - there could be some VERY interesting swapsies appearing there in the very near future!!
In case you haven't realised, Paul - you aren't stuck with the liquids that don't appeal to you (yet) as you can offer them for exchange with other members because the old saw about "One man's meat is another man's poison" is most definitely true when it comes to e-liquid flavours.
You do also want to allow yourself a little time to get used to the change, many people find their tastes change over the months once they have moved over to vaping. The 'tobacco tongue' doesn't disappear overnight but the way you appreciate flavours changes in a quite subtle but definite fashion. Something else to look forward to, along with regaining the ability to breathe properly!!
(Started with a Sabertouch... God, I'm jealous!!!!!)
