You've just given me an idea tcg69 . . . . Claire's Creme de Vanille, with some added chocolate could also work:
I must stop giving you these ideas Perpetua or you will end up like beedee and we know what sort of ideas he gets.

I've come across a recipe tonight from Richard iLardyboy which might appeal to Custard Lovers and those curious to try FA's Custard Premium. Strawberry Crunch Custard ( All flavours used are of course available at Nom Nomz: nomnomz.co.uk/ ) Thanks Perpetua it reminded me that already many mixed this in march forgot about it.

I've tried a sampler @ 4%, tcg69 . I really liked it, thought it was tastier as a standalone than the Capella, can't say how well it plays in mixes, though (yet!) I always mix at 3 to 5% beedee it goes very well in all the mixes I use it in.

jtc it's my go to custard flavour if another mixers recipe has caps in I will swap it to Fa premium custard it's just a no brainier for my taste. Is it better than caps v1 for my taste, yes hands down. I am not saying that I don't use caps I do it's the no1 custard we started mixing with but something changed in it or I vaped to much of it. A lot of mixers are mixing inw custard with Fa Premium but it doesn't work for me. What I have found with it is it steeps a lot quicker and doesn't kill of strawberry flavours or dull them. Overall it's a great all round custard. Regarding the price it is expensive compared to others but look in flavour creative on chefs it's Fa concentrates under a different name £2 instead of £3.60.

Really like the way you've used the pineapple to sweeten it@tcg69, will be making it again. Just sampled some Innawera Blackcurrant - which is the kind of the blackcurrant I've been looking for - a ribena flavour with no perfume aftertaste - am going to try this in it instead of the blackberry as well! beedee quite a lot of juice these days has a lot of Sweetner in, I don't use a great deal of it there's Sweetner in the concentrates it's just a matter of personal choice to use it or not. Blackberry/Blackcurrant are my Nemesis really like it just can't get it right for my tastes so I tend to go down the forest fruit way with Bilberry.

tcg69 - I was playing with the recipe and ended up with this: Blackberry Dog 4.40% Blackberry (FlavourWest) 2.50% Absinthe (DV) 2.00% Pineapple (Golden) (Capella) 1.00% Anise (Flavour Arts) 1.00% Black Jack Vintage (Flavour Arts) 0.50% Koolada (Perfumers Apprentice) Am really enjoying it so thanks for the inspiration! beedee thanks it's nice to know, and thanks for joining in on this crazy thread, the recipe above looks very good and I will definitely mix it up and let you know,it's good to get away from the cheesecakes, custards, and try something else well done.
