It is amazing to think that it finished with a signature by all those men. I bet most of those onlookers from the ships crew did not realize at the time how much of a big thing it was. May we never need such an historic time again.

Thanks for the welcome, Got to say the mind boggles regarding the jargon and abbrev and the whole car bugle for that matter, it will take me a long time to get the hang of it all , I have been reading a lot of posts and its all gobble de gook to me ??? You good folk will be a God send. The only silly question is the one not asked As for the Jargon, I work for the government and we have loads of TLA's and FLA's (three letter achronims & Four letter achrominms) which makes it bloody hard for me as I am Dyslexic lol I think you and your OH have done very well Keep it up if you can, we are here to suport eachother

Mine is a simple one too, It is the two tattoo's I got left that are complete. unfortunately I did have more but I was involved in a quite bad car accident where I rolled my car down the motorway for quite a few 100 yards (Tyre blew out on the front), and during that time of spinning around my head and shoulder smashed through the side window and bounced off the motorway. Now I bet you have heard of people trying to remove tattoo's by laser, but never by grinding it off on the motorway. I will one day get the patches of scar tissue coloured back in but it does make a taking point when it looks like the top of my arm had been attacked by someone with a big cheese grater. lol Oh and no one else was hurt in the making of the scars lol Edit, The Batty part came from this forum where I was asked if I want to be called Batty and as I am ever so slightly mad (ok very mad) I kind of liked it. so I added it

I am getting mine tomorrow, The Galaxt S3 and it should be running on the Android Icecream sandwich. It should be a lot easier than your old one Preppy, its just new that is all, you will get used to it in no time. If your stuck with anything, give me a shout and I will be able to talk/text you through it as I will be looking at the same thing as you

Yeah im pretty sure it was 5V in not out, im crap with electrics & memory!! Would different mA charger cause any harm? IF a charger is over 500ma output then it would be advised not to plug it into your computer. it is advisable not to plug any of them into a pc incase it goes and will take out your motherboard with it. then things can be expensive. IF a charger is rated at a lower ma then it will just take longer to charge up your battery, that is when it is like the ones in Macca's picture 420, 450 and 500. What you should not do is put a 150 etc onto something that takes a larger charge as you will most likely damage the charger as it will take a lot longer to charge and will be straining it. Am waiting now to be corrected lol

you would be awkward Sandra lol, I was only givine that as an example, but then I guess you could say it is the difference between Hovis and Kingsmill (or other top brand) they are all bread, but people have prefferances for one reason or another

About the power, The USB charger that came with River's kit is 4.2v 450mA, the Riva is 5v 500mA, does this mean I can't use the Riva on River and visa versa? I will have to bow down to Macca's knowledge on this now. I did think that it would be dangerous to try to charge a Li-ion battery to 5v as it would be over charging it and could damage it big time. What did you mean by "the Riva is 5v 500mA" is that another charger you have?

On a teeny bit of a tangent. Something that Macca pointed out that I had not realized is that you have to be careful about the output from the charger. The SDK charger outputs at 5v where the eGo ones output at 4.2v so do not get them mixed up as it can be disastrous. I know what you mean Richdude. I had the thankless task of re soldering all the points on a set of 163 way amphenol connectors ~(military standard) which is a right pain in the backside when it turns out that the cable had been damaged and it was nothing to do with the connector ends,

how do you unplug them from the laptop? My girlfriend has a habit of unplugging USB's by yanking the cable! Never known anyone go through iphone cables like her! Its that bad that I brought 10 from ebay a few months back, now I only 6 left (one which I use in the office which is still perfect condition!) If it is just the charging cabe for the iphone (not a data one) I can knock you up a pretty near indistructable one for your OH lol
