Yes, it will take an 18650, but you won't be putting this one in your pocket

I guess it's possible, but to honest I am not sure how durable the finish is yet.
I have to work on that to see if it fixes properly or needs a varnish finish as well.
And also see what brings it off.
It's a surface colour, not mixed with the composite.

I did look at fitting a bigger one, but did not want to cut the shank or make it look "odd". Still, you could fit an adapter?

Well, I found out that making a mould from a piece with the holes already in is a problem. The piece keeps floating to the top of the mould. I'll have to see if I can fix the piece to the bottom so it does not float. I've cast probably another ten pieces which have ended up in the bin, just trying to get the battery hole, button recess and battery connector in exactly the right place. It's a small piece and a millimeter either way makes a difference.

Just bloody brilliant I reckon, and I think you could be making some coin out of a skill like that 👍😊 I may well do. Visit my web site. Some may well appear there, in time.

*Respect* sej016 . I'm watching your progress with great interest. That casting looks like it went very, very well. Poly two part resin you say? Would you mind saying which one? Did you use any sort of pressure/vacuum chamber to cure it? The resin is this one.... Xencast P2 Fast Cast Polyurethane Casting Resin 2kg Packwww.easycomposites.co.uk/#!/resin-gel-silicone-adhesive/casting-resin/fast-cast-polyurethane-casting-resin.html No Vacuum chamber. Mix it and pour it gently and there is no air in it. I leave it for an hour before removing from the mould. To make the silicone mould (where you might need a vacuum chamber) I use this... CS25 Condensation Cure Silicone Rubber 1kg Packwww.easycomposites.co.uk/#!/resin-gel-silicone-adhesive/rtv-silicone-rubber/condensation-cure-mould-making-silicone-rubber-rtv.html Again, I mix and pour it gently and what little air there may be seems to release quite easily. It has a 24 hour cure time. S.
