May be a silly question but don't we have the same problem with the base and the top cap?

No probs Macca, Will stop with immediate effect. Thanks for the warning. Ditto - pity tho the concept was good and worked really well - if available in SS at some point a definite buy.

Macca, sounds like you are filling it up with juice then putting the cone on? I am putting the cone on first screwing it right down and then filling with juice. No flooding issues here and I only have the original short piece of wick up in the chamber! But it seems to work just as well with the wick in the channels.
Just re-read Macca's post and think you are right Lisa. Not having had the problem I think I got a bit confused. Having a blond moment, and I'm a brunette lol.

Thanks for the tip on the Vivi Nova tanks Dave, just switched to a blue one (fits perfectly), filled up with vanilla custard and have gone to vaping heaven. Looks really good but pity it is siting on top of a Vamo - thinks me needs a new shiny hmm.....

Ok update from a non-techy. Took the original wick and removed it from the channels and with the wick wet wound it loosely round the two pins and coil (very rough and ready) screwed the liquid control all the way down. No problems now with the liquid control catching the o-ring. After reading Steve's post reversed the spring in the base as I had put it in with the large coil at the bottom (not that it gave me any problems). A quick fix on the airhole with a bit of sellotape with a few pin pricks in it (need to look at a more permanent solution, when I can put it down) and away I went. Drained the tank twice (normally vape around 2-3mls per day so rocking with this thing) and not one dry hit, flavour and vapour are fabulous. Need to slow down as am definitely overdoing the nic levels. Absolutely loving it (no posh atties yet to compare with but by far the best tenner I have spent since starting vaping). Again many thanks Macca, I am for sure in for another one if there is a group buy.

Interesting way of placing the wick greigster, I will give that a go at some stage Me too - and with the juice control screwed all the way down it solves the top cap problem.

Mine arrived safe and sound first thing this morning - thanks Macca. Just had a quick play and same issue with the top cap - will try now removing the o-ring, pre-installed coil was a disaster, but tweaked it a bit undid the posts and reassembled and all good now. As previous posts a bit airy for my liking but will try blocking the airhole a bit. Note - mine came with 2 spare posts in the pack with the pre-coiled wick - I mention this as they are really small so be careful when you open the pack - these are going to be so easy to lose. Will update when I have had a bit more time to play, but for the price A1 OK for now.

Hi all just thought I would share the results of my first attempt at mixing my own e-liquid. 1. Bought all the recommended products for Perpy's VC 2. Followed recipe to the letter 3. Particular care taken in exactly diluting EM, vanillin etc. and measured all ingredients with the array of syringes/pipettes etc. I had bought. 4. Added the prescribed flavourings drop by drop, counting all the way. 5. Dropped the e-liquid bottle on the floor (before shaking) and lost 1-2mls of I don't know what! 6. Steeped for the recommended 3 weeks, not, (well had to try after 3 days) 7. Tastes not bad at all - not as good as some of the professional ones but not as bad as some I have tried. I thought this might inspire and reassure those of us who are new to mixing - don't panic if you get it wrong try try try again - but sometimes things work out anyway.
