I don't think there is a dissy code for BV ffs.... I did a massive double take here thinking "it's not like Chris to be so rude" then few seconds later checked the name of the OP and got it, but for a few seconds I was genuinely shocked!!!! |

I think the kids round here must be from a different planet. The young kids come round, always with an adult guardian who stays well back. They only come to houses with pumpkins (but as I don't normally do pumpkin I draw a sign for my window saying they are welcome.
They have all made an effort to dress up, and when we pass the bowl of sweets to them they ALWAYS only take one, even when I have clearly said take a few! Sometimes I say you can take a few more if you want, some tentatively (after a look to the adults to check it is ok) take another ONE! And some say no thank you. Then they all say thanks and the parents give you a smile, and they are off looking for the next house!
Later in the evening we get some groups of teenagers round, BUT they are young teenagers, all dressed up and just as polite as the youngsters.
Honestly it is like some sort of portal opens up here to a different dimension - it is Halloween after all.
Sometimes when we have got fed up of answering the door, want to watch a program or have run out of sweets, we take the sign down and then we see people walking past, but they don't stop, and the first year when I just assumed we would get knocked for, I didn't do a sign and then wondered why no-one knocked, it was only after making the sign half way through that people started coming.
I like to answer the door with a rat on my shoulder, great opportunity for a bit of ratty PR!!!

I would love this, been eying these kinds of stands up for months. Sadly tho it is just too expensive, I'm not saying it is not a bargain as it clearly is, but I just don't have that kind of money!

Mrs Lord and Co Druide and Custard Creams juice - both are gorgeous especially the Druide. I wish I could make this myself. Gutted! I fell in love with Druide at vf but they had sold out. I have been desperate to get my hands on some ever since! |

Please don't skint yourself if money is tight, there will be others in the future. 1kg is IRO 970ml if I recall correctly, so 500g would be around 485ml. The reason I'm doing it by the kilo rather than ml is it's much easier to weigh it out than measure it by ml when it comes to bottling. Thanks Ric Thank you! Haven't seen last nights yet as I am bedridden. Can't wait to see Dave dancing to I Would Do Anything For Love. I love that song so much I walked down the aisle to it in June!!! You know, I love Brucie, he is one of my favourite entertainers and I have a lot of respect for what he manages to do at his age, and will be gutted when he goes, BUT he drives me up the wall on Strictly!! And I am with Oneday maybe you could keep the thread of the winners to something like WOOHOO (Strictly) so you can still celebrate in the title but not spoil the results for those of us who don't watch it live. Also if it is something like WOOHOO please mention strictly so we do not accidentally read it  Won't be back on this thread after this afternoon (well after the results show starts really) until I have watched it, so if anyone quotes or tags me I will not be ignoring you. ARGH now I'm in a quandary, there is a VTTV meet on the same date I was really hoping to make. My favourite vaping people will be in two different venues hundreds of miles apart. London would be closer and not need accommodation but there are some people going to the VTTV one I REALLY want to meet.....Gah!!!
