moonraker - That's a fair comment, I guess that's what you're paying for when you buy from a reputable UK supplier.

It's not so much that I'm a complete cheap-skate, actually I'd happily pay a bit more for decent quality, I just get the impression that there's a lot of gear out there of questionable quality waiting for the newbie like myself to burn himself with (perhaps literally). Luckily I'm an obsessive researcher .

I'm actually surprised (I don't know why) that we don't have any good UK/European manufacturers producing mods to compete with provari, smoktech sigelei, innokin etc. as it looks a good market to be in right now. I mentioned those names specifically as they look like the better higher-volume producers.

I guess the red-tape is so much more in the US and Europe, which in itself leads to higher prices, but it would be nice to see more quality and design out there.

I know there are smaller modders producing the goods but it'd be nice to have a home-grown (or at least european) provari alternatives (for example).

The Alibaba thing is interesting for a couple of reasons, firstly it illustrates the sheer amount of cheap tat out there (which we're probably all paying inflated prices for from our local supplier), and as you say it also suggests that with the decent equipment it might be better to get a few like minded people together and do a bulk order.

Does anyone know of any American or European companies making their own quality mods out there, apart from provari, and I think Reo?
