I saved and copied images about 7 in a few mins but photobucket rejects them, looks like the forum been hit with a virus so watch your bank accounts closely.
Edit by Chrissie - The forum has NOT been hit by a virus, please read the whole of this thread.

Were being bombarded with ads to upgrade to pro boards plus to stop the ads but they want money from us to stop it.

I have just read this. It is a shame that nobody seems to be bumping this to the top everyday now and forever. It is a great bit of good news. What did you say

Happening to me on any computer i use. You realy don't think you get something for free do you without a backdoor money earner. Very annoying it is though.

Sounds like it was the gap that snapped your tap. I have had similar happen to me, it's ok if both parts are heavy but if one is thinner it can flex slightly and jam the tap. It's also possible that if you are using a single threaded tap then it was 180° out (or 90° for a double) on the second run and didn't marry up with the inner thread after the gap. I find it's better to drill oversize and friction fit a tapped tube in the hole which passes through both layers and the gap. Your right on the button i think with the gap, I was going to try the grub after the first run but did't silly me, also had to hold the piece agian in the vice with cardboard around it just nipped to hold it but that would also have changed the pressure. As it turned out all is ok, i ground the tap and it sealed ok, if it didn't the silver solder was coming out. So, i'm the only one with a Kayfun which has a tap

First off,,, If anyone attempts this do not drill through the fill hole. I snapped a thread tap in there, my fault. The first tap went through just fine and like a twit i ran a second tap through it but it got stuck and i suspect it was because your threading one piece then a little gap then threading the other or i was just clumbsy.
If you do attempt it drill a hole in the solid piece a 2mm new bit goes through easy just make sure you line it up straight or use a jig. Tap with a first m2.5x45 tap thats all that is needed and m2.5 x 8mm length stainless grub screw from fleabay 10 for a £1 and fit perfect with no protruding either end.
It does not leak and now have the benefit of the 3.1's draw and bottom fill of the lite.
Yipee,,,
Put money on it the 3.2 will have this, it would also make it easier and cheaper for them to make it.

There's plenty of parking around so don't worry about that, and you could walk from one side of the town to the other in ten mins at snail pace.

Iv'e never told anyone about this but I was the first to arrive at Vapefest last year. I done a bit of overtime on the Saturday morning and got home and changed and headed to the Moat house for beer o clock. Looked around a bit and could not find anything going on so had a few beers and headed home as i thought it may have finished and i missed it. Anyhow, It turned out I was a week early and bugger me the next weekend I had to work.

Don't know yet but it's a hole so a start Simple to do and I kept it the same size as the fill hole. I'm sticking with my original plan i think and just tap it out and block up with a grub screw fitting as there is plenty of depth in there to seal the juice and remove and refit easily. The other option is to go straight through the end cap and recess a normal counter sunk in there. Any techies about to save me searching on what tap size to use fine thread on a 2.0mm hole, hole can be wider if needed. regards Eggy

I really like the draw of the 3.1es over the lite as there is a big difference to me. I have tried reducing the air hole on the Lite with various mesh sizes but I find it just condensates and makes it worse over a short period of time.
I fill the 3.1 from the top which is not a problem to me but what it has highlighted having the two is I can get a lot more juice in the light because your filling the larger space where the air tube is. So, I have made my mind up and after having a good look at the 3.1 bottom fill hole I am going to drill straight through the current fill hole from inside to out and then tap it.
The alternative would be to tap the side entry where the bearing is and fit a grub screw but i don't thing it would fill very well as you would still have to seal the hole pressurizing the tank because of the bend.
Anyone done this before.
regards
Eggy
