yeah I was trying to use ss317L but the mod only has a ss316Lprofile, I adjusted the tcr value down from the 107 to 094 and set the temp to 380 on normal strength it sent a flame puff straight through the drip tip and then melted the coils ..... the cotton was just fine but I was missing about half a tank of juice in under 10 seconds of pulling the fire button whereupon it displayed the check atty message .... i'll wait for the 316L wire and the 36gauge ni200 and see if either of them works / perhaps its my own fault for trying something on a mod that's generally getting slatted for anything other than ni200 Leave the TCR alone, turn your temp down to 200F and work your way up

When you really get the hang of TC, you wouldn`t go back, it`s the most consistent vape you can get in my opinion and for dripping, it`s a godsend. Coils and wicks can last upwards of 5 or 6 weeks and that includes the wick if your settings are right. It`s not a fad, it`s here to stay. Very few power only mods these days.

I find if my cotton has no juice, it isnt very nice. Strange that. Yes but avoiding that taste is gooood I have only used TC since it was available, bit of a learning curve but well worthwhile in my opinion

The much maligned cotton burn test should be used more in my opinion. Put the mod into the Metal mode that you are using. Ignore the temperature displayed. Do the cotton burn test, make a note of the reading where it starts to mark the cotton. Take 50F from it and adjust to taste but dont go too near to the written down displayed burn temperature (it doesn`t matter what it is). The displayed temperature is so dependant on the TCR and the quality of the programming on the mod, especially at the most sensitive end of the TCR scale (SS I think). Just use the displayed burn temperature purely as a reference The only measured readings I really trust on any mod is the wattage and the resistance.................................. but that`s just me

If it were me with different SS profile to the stuff I had to hand, I would use the nearest SS profile on the mod, turn the temp right down and work my way up until it gave me a good vape. Chances are the TC will cut in just fine once the wick starts to dry. It may not be anywhere near the "displayed" 470F (or whatever you prefer) but that`s largely irrelevant. It will only do that if the TCR profile is spot on. I think with the majority of TC mods, the most trustworthy screen reading will be the wattage and maybe resistance. The screen temperature is a result of the computed maths in the chip which depend totally on accurate TCR settings for the coil/metal used. Use the force .............................. or suck it and see

This is not new and shows the utterly repulsive stance by big tobacco about their product. It isn`t anything new, it`s been known about for a long time and by big tobacco even longer, but always under the radar. The murder of Alexander Litvinenko may bring it home to some smokers and pursuade them to quit. I edited the picture. The link for the article is www.cdc.gov/nceh/radiation/smoking.htm

I think people are being a little too harsh on him with the charging overnight thing. Many including myself and in this thread have admitted doing it. You cannot say what an idiot before saying how Mobile phones charge overnight and use lithium ion batteries aswell. Thats precisely the point, millions of mobile phones are charged overnight without problems so people will assume the same with their ecig I do wish they would tell us what model, charger he was using, etc though Yes, we have to remember that probably less than 10% of vapers belong to FB or forums and happily charge overnight, especially if they have been doing that with their phone for the past lot of years.
