(As far as I know!) Del, the cartridge, which holds the fluff is also called the mouthpiece as Chrissie says- sometimes they are rounded at the end that you inhale on- whilst whistle tips, which I personally prefer, are flatter- a bit like the end of a whistle. Hope this makes some sense! xx

Perps, I think you've hit the nail on the head with regards to the atties not working with the Screwdriver- I hadn't even noticed 'til you pointed it out- indeed the connection end surely can't be making proper contact as it is higher up than the last batch from EM.

Well I've now tried six of the fifteen LR901's I got on my SDmk2- None of them fire up, just dead, even when primed poo!

Dee so sorry to hear that I have also pulled out the attie end of the spring, with MUCH caution and gentleness to make the contacts better. I am so sorry you're not getting on well with your SD. I hope that Prof will have some more idea about the prob, unless the ones you've had are just simply faulty

Dee have you tried this- hold on to the black button and untighten it's screw slightly (so that the battery makes contact with the spring better)?

Hi Roachie, I too do not think boiling atties everyday is a good idea- where did you hear this advice? It should be enough to blow through really hard from the small end, then leave to stand/drain on a bit of tissue over night. xx

I have been playing with the UFS now for some days and I think I have finally got it perfectly. It now produces so much vapour on a 3.7 v ordinary 510 atty it is unbeleivable I have to leave out half the vapour and only inhale the other half else I choke. This baby is amazing. Hi Sham, hope you don't mind me asking but I feel rather ??? and also rather ...that you appear to be getting so much vapour you could 'choke'.. how can this be good? xxx

still hanging on to a half packet of tobacco complete with two ready rolled stashed in the packet. The tobacco has turned into scrutly!- (nasty dried out powder baccy). I smoked some rollies around Christmas time- was out and about in the company of a chimney type smoker. The thing I remember hating the worst was the stink of stale smoke on me the next day also noted that the harshness of tobacco on the throat was alarming as it felt like it was almost burning..
