I haven't touched my cig-a-like in 3 days, I am loving playing with my riva, and trying out all the combinations of kit and juices

Throat hit is down to many things, but the riva kit with the right juices will give a great hit, and loads of vapor. I have found that different flavours give a different throat hit, as do different levels of nicotine

Thanks everyone! The juice is confusing me too.. why all these sweet flavours? I cant imagine smoking a cherry/ caramel/ coffee cigarette!! Do you still get the taste of nicotine mixed with the flavour you choose? Sorry if im being blonde! I thought this too at 1st, but have to say I now prefer the fruit and sweet flavours to tobacco flavours. You will get a slight nicotine taste in some juices, but not all, and many will also provide a good throat hit. As with everything in the vaping world, it's a case of trial and error, and finding what suits you best

Hi Maggie, and welcome to the forum My advice would be to get the starter kit, and worry about the rest later. I bought this riva kit just over a week ago, and it seems like I've had it all my life it comes with 2 batteries, a charger, a CE4 clearomiser tank, 5 cartomisers, a metal driptip, an ego cone, and 10ml of juice, all of which fits nicely into the case provided. I have been using e-cigs just over a month, and have been learning and progressing as I've gone along. If you are looking to see what juices you like, the Oasis sample pack is a good place to start (found here www.miragecigarettes.co.uk/shop/oasis-e-liquid-sample-pack.html), it has 32 flavours in 2.5ml bottles, and will give you an idea of the flavours that best suit your tastes (although I would say that many flavours will taste different from different suppliers, so don't use the sample pack as a hard and fast guide to the flavours). I have now gone on to order quite a few different flavours, tanks and other accessories based on my experience, and the advice of others from this forum. Keep an eye on the Vendors section, as there are often new discounts and offers posted.

I'm sure you won't regret it Naimh, and remember, if you don't like the flavours you get, there are 1000's out there still to try, and you can always trade any unwanted juice on here, I'm sure there will always be a taker

I have had this once from accidentally dropping in the atty, I have also heard of it happening when people have just cleaned the vivi nova, and reassembled it before it's totally dry. Any moisture in the threads will allow capillary action to suck your juice in when you draw on it.
For this reason I dry mine with kitchen roll after every wash, and ensure that no dampness is left
It could also be worth checking the silicone rubber on the atty, to ensure it's not slipped, and is still forming a seal with the top

I have been reading along on this thread, as I have started to become more interested in trying the full range of things involved in vaping. Before I go an jump into something that is over my head, how straight forward with this??
I have looked at the starter kits, and I know they say they have everything you need, but is there more to it than just working out quantities of ingredients, mixing them, and it's done??
Also I have been reading people talking about steeping juices, what does this mean??

Order just placed, thanks for the great deal, I too opted to pay a little extra for extra flavour, simply as I like a good bold taste, can't wait to try these out.

Thanks Han, I am off the booze, and have been for quite a few years, although the temptation never far away. But for me it is just smells and tastes that trigger my want to drink. Will have a look at those juices in a bit. Lobeydosser, I also hate tea, it makes me sick, I used to live in the Highlands till work dried up and I was forced to move, so another scot who is teatotal and hates tea

I did think about getting a DCT when I was looking at tanks, but the number of good reviews I've read, and the good life I got out of my CE4, are what convinced me to get a mini nova, and knowing that I will want to try rebuilding the attys at some point (probably in the near future), it was the best choice for me.
As I am finding with everything in the vaping world, personal preference is the main factor, for me this is hitting the mark, and I've not had any of the dry hits I get using a carto.
