Certainly not my aim! BrenD LOL 2017 for me just seemed so bleddy busy, but I agree it would be lovely to see everyone again at some point. Weekends are best for me, other commitments notwithstanding. Off you go peeps, suggest some dates  |

I must admit to having a FB account, and find it very useful for some things, especially the news and views from Brazil, which I have a keen interest in.
However, despite being on a few vaping pages, I rarely post anything, simply use them as a means of learning about new products, troubleshooting common problems, and learning more about recipe mixing. As I don't use commercial juices these pages are of no interest to me, and I have un-liked various other pages because the membership is infantile (and often can't express themselves using English - and I'm not being racist or anything else here, I just can't abide bad spelling, grammar, etc.!).
I have also considered reducing the number of vaping pages I belong to as sometimes my newsfeed is full of competitions, something else I'm not really interested in.
Just call me a grumpy (nearly) old man . . .

Huge congratulations Bobsbeer, and well done! I've gradually worked my nic levels down and and now vape exclusively 1mg juices which I mix myself, either from a recipe or a one-shot. I have toyed with the idea of going nic free, but enjoy the place I'm at now and see no reason to rush the process! I have occasionally tried Omg and found it strangely lacking, so for the moment will continue to vape with trace nicotine levels. |

Got a busy day today, but at the next opportunity, I'll knock up a spaced SS coil or two and give it a try. Stand by for some noob questions on how to get my mod set up! Oh, and thanks for all the replies so far, a good mix of reactions and advice.

My advice don't bother, just stick the thing in wattage mode and have at it.  Seriously it's a waste of time, if you know how to set up and wick your atty right and remember to fill the tank or drip you aren't going to be getting any dry hits and you know from just personal taste how warm or cool a vape you like and can set that perfectly well to taste with wattage. Thanks Get Off My Cloud, just the sort of advice I like - straight to the point! I must admit that I'm only interested in order to give it a fair try so that I know what I'm missing (or not, as the case may be!). I've survived 5.5 years of long without TC, but with so many mods now equipped I am just wondering why 😀 |

Hi all, I have recently treated myself to a new mod which (like others that I have) is equipped for Temperature Control. I have absolutely no previous experience of TC, and would like some advice before I start. First of all, I have some SS316 .6 22/3 AWG and have some really punchy 8-wrap coils installed in a Griffin. Could I use these for TC, or do my coils have to be spaced as opposed to Microcoils, touching, which these are. Secondly, the User Manual with the new mod is less than helpful for novice TC-ers, and it assumes that you know what you are doing already! I know that I need to 'initialise' my coil, at room temperature, before starting to use it, but what else do I need to set on the mod. I presume a mid-range temp would be good to start with? Lastly, once the temperature and resistance is set, do I change watts as per VW vaping, or how can I adjust the power reaching the coil. I understand that using TC is a bit like having cruise control, in that the coil temperature is maintained regardless of the change in resistance as the coil heats up, but am I missing something else? Your advice and help would be gratefully received, as always! P.S. the mod is a Voopoo Drag |
