Not to say that they are safe but I don't recall seeing any warnings here or elsewhere about either of the above. Also, TPA do a molasses concentrate which I've seen for sale on vaping sites - again, this does not necessarily testify to its safety to vape.
I would expect the resulting juice to be a bit of a coil gunker though!
If anyone else has any thoughts I'd be interested to know too.

You have been busy Nick! I was interested to see your Gooseberry Fool recipe as I made one a couple of weeks back using TPA's French Vanilla Deluxe and Capella's VC, plus some sweetener. I only used 9% Gooseberry though and it still seems quite strong, so I'm curious as to how at 22% yours will turn out. I've made this one before (once) - the gooseberry does come across quite harsh! It does however mellow out a bit with steeping. Must try at a lower percentage next time! I forgot to add it to the recipe online but I also add a couple of drops of lemon juice which seems to help bring out the fruity flavour. In practice I also often mix in a little VC with it in a tank for a bit of added creaminess.

I find that I use 0.5 flat Kanthal more than an other size, usually aiming for 1.2ish ohms - but of course it depends on the width of your wick etc. For the price I would recommend getting a couple of sizes to experiment with.
Word of warning re Ekowool - I believe that they are measured on the inner diameter so they will possibly be quite a bit bigger than you expect. I had some 3mm with a core not long ago - turns out the core makes pretty good wicks too!

Hi Nick I just did a few recipes using slightly different flavour percentages, I saved them with different names, but they haven't saved- for example Maple caramel 2 overwrote maple caramel 1. Am I doing something wrong? If you press save when editing a recipe it will save over the previous version of that recipe - just like pressing save in any traditional application. Changing the name of the recipe will not make it create a new recipe (the equivalent of "save as"). To do what you are trying to do you will need to go back to the mixer and start again to create a new recipe.

Hi This is great! As. Mac user it's a real faff tying EJMUto run (it's do-able, but a pain) so thanks for this calculator. As I am new to mixing, it's good that I can save my recipes, but it'd be great if there was an option to not make them public, as I imagine my recipes aren't going to be too good for a while, plus I do t want to clog up the public board. Is that possible? Glad you're getting on well with it! As it stands though, I don't have any plans for private recipes. Quoting from my response to the same question on ECF: Yes, this means that there will be lots of experimental/work-in-progress recipes on the site but it also means that other users will be able to see these and hopefully learn from them, make improvements or just get inspiration for making their own. Recipes can have notes/descriptions attached to them so I'm hoping mixers will use this to indicate whether or not their recipe is tried and tested or just a new idea they're hoping won't be disgusting. Early days yet, but a number of users do appear to be doing this so fingers crossed. To add to that, one day I'll hopefully find time to work on a tagging system (think Twitter hashtags) which should make it easy to flag recipes as untested as well as filter them out of search results.

I'm not exactly sick of sweet juices but have been wanting to broaden my horizons recently - nutty is next on my list of juices to attempt.

Done!
Yes 40.14% (283 votes) No 59.86% (422 votes)
It's a shame there's not also a smoker/vaper/both/neither question - I'd have thought that would make the data a lot more interesting.
